Always enjoy the show. I'm a retired New Zealand Forest Service deer culler and a bit long in the tooth now to be out there charging around as often as I would like. For some strange reason the English never introduced foxes to New Zealand, like they did in Australia. Probably just as well. We had enough feral pests as it was.

Thanks Sam 👍 yes good job they never made it to New Zealand mate they do a lot of damage not only to farm livestock but to all our small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and ground nesting birds, it's a shame really because they are lovely animals but they have to be controlled to keep the balance 👍

I often wonder just how many Foxes actually take lambs . Sick and still born yes , but healthy new born on their feet , I doubt .
@keithjones13Ай бұрын
Hi Paul sadly Foxes take plenty of healthy lambs, it's normally when the mum has twins or triplets, when the mum is down giving birth to the 2nd/3rd lamb the fox will take the first as the mum can't protect it, but I've even seen 2 health lambs up with the mum and a fox come in and take one of them, I no some people don't agree with what we do but sadly it has to be done.

I tend to get most of my foxes at 100m to 200m with 75gran b/ tip, which is good to 250m. Federal suit my 243.

Yes Ivor I try to get mine into around 100m when I can mate, I use hornady 87gn Vax, not as fast as the 75gn but hit nice and hard mate 🦊💥👍

Bit disappointed with the first shot as there was no safe backstop for the shot.
@keithjones13Ай бұрын
If there wasn't a back stop I wouldn't of taken the shot , I was shooting off a elevated position so there was no chance of the bullet going anywhere else apart from in the ground, you can't see the back ground in the scope footage due to the IR light but if you look at the thermal footage you can easily see there is a backstop.
