He was basically fired , what does he do? Follow her anyways ? She was paranoid and thought she was being spied on.... Diana gave up her security, insisted on it , and had she still had royal protection, she would be here today , but stupid decisions were made , and a drunk driver, and not wearing a seatbelt didn't help either..

Nice job, this documentary. I've read Ken Wharfe's book, where he goes into more detail, obviously. In my opinion, it's a great pity that the now King found it expedient to marry one woman while continuing to love another, and it baffles me that some people are negative about Diana.

Just think - this beautiful and gracious woman Diana - would be only 62 years old today and the Queen of England. Could you even imagine her in a gown and tiara at the coronation? She would have been the perfect queen if only Charles could have been mature and have loved her even for her faults. The monarchy would be in a different place today if Diana could have remained as Princess of Wales.

I always wonder if anyone else has picked up on the synchronicities surrounding Diana and her death... 1) Charles 'broke her heart', 2) She wanted to be Queen of people's 'hearts' 3) She then fell in love with a 'heart' surgeon, 4) Her 'heart was broken' again, by 'heart surgeon', 5) She died soon after of a physical 'broken heart' (a tear in her heart) in the City of 'Love' , 6) After her death she was referred to as the Queen of people's 'hearts'. I wonder if there are any more I've not picked up on.

I think the Queen was perfect for 99.9% of the years prior to and during her reign of 70 years!! She had Prince Philip to make her laugh and to talk frankly with but she was the best diplomat of the family. She kept the monarchy solid and didn’t do anything drastic or sudden but seemed looking back to adjust to the times and modern times incrementally but enough. Especially since she served during huge changes in society both in the kingdom and world wide. And she always put her duty first even when it was painful for her and for family members at times. Over so many years it’s inevitable that the people would not be 100% happy all the time but if you look at the whole reign it’s amazing there were just a couple blips and dips in popularity but looking at the crowds on the mall for her platinum jubilee, I think that says it all. She could feel the love. ❤

I am taking the liberty of copying a comment I wrote on another discussion. Perhaps you could be the first to answer my questions. „As the discussion continues and an overwhelming majority believe that foul play is involved and that the Royal family is behind it, I would simply like to state the facts and ask you to evaluate them from a logical point of view It is known that Diana was not expected in Paris that day. She was supposed to fly straight back to London after her holiday. The route via Paris was only planned at the last moment. Probably because Dodi had asked her to do so. But we can't know that for sure, so I'll leave that point aside. There was no predictable programme for this day in Paris. The couple changed their plans several times, all decisions were made spontaneously. This included the decision to go to Dodi's apartment late in the evening instead of staying at the Ritz. Like all activities, this trip was organised entirely by Dodi and the Al Fayed security team. Dodi ordered Henri Paul, who had actually already finished work, back to duty. He asked an employee to organise a car. And he chose bodyguard Trevor Rhys-Jones to accompany them. And last but not least, the Mercedes took neither the shortest nor the most likely route to the flat, but instead took a diversion. Now my question: How could an attack have been carried out under these circumstances? You can't organise a murder plot with a snap of the fingers. It requires meticulous preparation and careful planning. And that wasn't possible in Paris. If someone had really wanted to get her out of the way, they would have done it in London, in her familiar surroundings, where her movements were predictable. The murder theory simply doesn't make sense, it can't be explained logically. Or does anyone have any plausible arguments as to how it should have worked?„

@@iceprincess3981That was a very logical and intelligent annalitical response indeed. It is difficult to respond in such a way as to defend my comment. I will say, however, that many strange events many of them too numerable to mention here, do indeed rais many questions themselves (the fact that the Mercedez used that day was stolen some weeks before, the Fiat Uno, the flash of light, Henery Paul's toxicology results to name but a few) that merit some possibility of foul play. Many aspects of her personal and professional life did indeed make her a threat. Further, I am sure people of such a high profile are indeed followed and/or surveiled for many reasons which itself means opportunity would always be there for highly trained profesionals with knowledge from the inside . Gill Dando was not expected at her home that day was she, as she lived with her physician fiance most of the time yet someone knew she would be there and killed her in broad day light and vansihed and was never caught. I am not claiming she (Diana) was assassinated, I really don't know. I am saying, however, that many questions remain.

@@iceprincess3981yes I do. She should have not dismissed her police protection because I don’t believe they were there for anything but to keep her safe. The Royal Family is still a family. They can’t always have what they want due to rules and fairness (ie some extravagance, for those who are still working Royals and on the taxpayers dime) and get their way but they do love each other. And even when the marriage didn’t work they still cared. They didn’t all know how to show it all the time (in private even) but they did want each other including their exes to be happy. For all their sakes including the queens 6 grandchildren who were being raised by divorced parents. Something that hadn’t happened in centuries I believe. No way would they ever have been accomplices or in any way involved in murder for goodness sake. We all wanted someone to blame at first and eventually one must imho realize that it was a very sad accident that happened because (and was also made worse by others) of a number of factors- which were again imho - the only things conspiring that night. If she had kept her good security instead, worn her seat belt, not had such an unusual and impossible to see tear in a part of her heart that even if they had gotten her to the OR FASTER - as imnsho they should have (no offense to the French people who tried their best! That’s the only part of the state I don’t fully understand. Were they trying to get her heart back started that whole time? Was there no way somebody can drive so they could get her inside and opened up to see what was going on that might be fixable? She definitely needed that international protection. What is it IPP or something?)- but if they had been able to get to operate on her and see what was wrong faster it still would’ve been difficult to repair unless really right away they could figure it out and do it immediately! I don’t want to be mad at Diana and I’m not part of her family or friends to where it wouldn’t matter anyway, but if she had made a couple of different decisions (and I know she thought she had her very good reasons because she was manipulated into getting more paranoid than she slightly already was - and not just via forgery and lies by MB … although he certainly went to elaborate lengths so that (the results anyway) she wouldn’t trust anyone around her.. but she was one of the true victims of phone hacking in the early 90s. so she literally had stopped trusting any of the family friends or employees that she considered friends and trusted prior) anyway, I keep going on tangents, sorry if anyone still here.. 😂 but the point is had she made a different decision or two… better yet had Dodi not totally broken his promise to his dad to stay at the hotel, where they were safe for the night as it was already late ish…. I mean yeah it would’ve been beyond nice if they had played it safe that night but I can say hindsight is 2020. Years ago I used to wonder if there was something more sinister afoot… but again imo, it’s just not the case if you really look into it. And if you’re fairly familiar with the individuals and really think about it. And I’m kind of ashamed for ever, even for that moment wondering back in the day. I’m not saying other should just saying how I kind of felt. I can Definitely see why people bring it up so much that when you see some of the headlines on videos on here.

I have to admit, I didn't watch it... However, the late Princess made very serious mistakes in life. 1. A Princess does not share her personal drama with the world. 2. A Royal does not give secret interviews for a book that disparages the House of Windsor. 3. A former wife to the King of England does not flaunt her many lovers, while inviting the media to publicize it. 4. Diana was do wrapped up in herself that she couldn't see past her nose. Meaning, she didn't seem to care how her lust for life would affect her son, the future King of England. Now we can see the effect she had on Harry.

@@harshanid3636- Diana due to her motherless childhood, and being spoilt by her father, was totally unsuited to disciplined royal life. She was blinded by the glamour. Also she was unfortunate in that her husband married her while he was still in love with another woman. She couldn't understand how it could be when the whole world was in love with her. If she had been more mature and emotionally intelligent, she would have realized other women get divorced but move on to better things. She had so much charisma, charm, energy and wasn't afraid of hard work, she would've found a rich successful husband and still done so much good work. Instead she slept with one man after another, broke other couples marriages and ended up with a cocaine addict who was already engaged. No remorse when it was splashed all over the world in front pages.

Given the poor result (Diana died in 1997 in an accident under the Alma bridge in Paris) I wouldn't recommend this "bodyguard" !!!!!!

If you had listened, you would have heard Ken Wharfe say that she dismissed all her staff - including him. She asked him whether he had any last words, and he warned her about security, stating that no matter where she was, she'd always be recognised. He stated his disappointment that she didn't follow his advice.
