Yes they are all limousin was Simmental but after 30yrs there isn’t much trace left the odd stipe of white

Graham would the iodine on the back be better than the iodine tablets in the water you have great stock

Would love if you went through the breeding of your cattle, do you use much AI and if so what bulls? Do you buy replacements or breed your own? Have you any pedigrees? Would you ever chance a CH bull on them and all that…

What would be considered cheap feeds? Whats you opinion on 20kg bags of Paul & Vincent nut or similar compared to buying a bulk bag ration mix?

There is none of it very cheap but they use lesser ingredients palm kernel cottonseed etc as cheap form of protein but they drag down the energy level of a ration. For me I’d use grains barley wheat maize etc and soya in a mix at least you know what you have. There was over €100 in difference between the small bags I was getting off coop and the bulk bag I got off Bolger

I gave them stock boost with copper from natural stock care I find it gives them a boost cleaner coat etc they also got a pneumonia vaccine and a treatment for lice

If the cattle are tidy looking may be no need it won’t do any harm but I see poor coat calves clean up with it

It’s topical iodine pour on to increase iodine levels quickly

You should try hi iodine bolus to the cows every six months worked for myself.
