This is the reason I bought an Urban Ash as my first guitar. Love this! Thank you! Great interview also!

What an awesome interview! Scott Paul & Taylor guitars are great role models for the guitar industry. Their stewardship of the lands resources makes me feel better about the future of quality guitars. Nice job Chris & Cooper!

Proud owner of two amazing Taylors. These stories make me feel even better about supporting such a great company. And the guitars are pretty great, too!

Great interview. I have been reading his articles since they started appearing in Wood and Steel. It is interesting to connect the man to the writing. Taylor is lucky to have. Him on their staff!

I'm that obnoxious friend always talking about Taylor's responsible wood sourcing. The 110 was my first "real" guitar, and now I recommend the BT or GS-Mini to all my students, I teach on my BT, I play shows on my T5z, and I write on my 324ce-BE. I get accused of being a Taylor fan boy all the time, but the truth is, if I loved a different guitar more, I'd play a different guitar 😂

Interesting stuff. Right now I’m concerned that the world not be around much longer. What with climate change, war in the Middle East, Ukraine, Taiwan, etc. I hope we’re around for a long while so I can enjoy playing my guitars.

Great interview. It helped me keep the changing situation in perspective. I’ve grown to trust Bob and Andy with finding, saving, and producing the tonewoods that sound best to me. And that’s the bottom line for me- how it sounds to me. If Andy could make sagebrush sound as good as rosewood does to me, I’ll buy it. Taylor will make it great, whatever wood Andy tunes in to.

"Voting with your dollar" -- glad he used that phrase. I frequently discuss this with others. When you spend or invest money, you are sending signals as to what kind of world you want to live in. That is why they are called "dollar votes." Vote wisely. Sustainability is a concept that people need to spend much more time thinking about. If we are not sustainable, then we are stealing from the next generation.

1% of the global trade in wood sounds small, but that is actually a vast amount of wood. Sobering to hear about the changes he is talking about here. Good video.

Taylor Carbon Fiber…?

Not going to happen. Bob Taylor has addressed this question head on, and is why Taylor leads the big three in alternative woods.

I have RainSong 6 & 12 string guitars…. I love both, and see carbon fiber as a big part of the future of premium guitars…
