I recently got my own P&D lightsaber, I went with the ribbed switch plate, and did find it too easy to switch on/off as well. A simple fix it to take the switch apart, and sand down the plastic on the button just a tiny bit, and then re-assemble. Made it just tight enough to not switch easily, but not hard to use. I will also say I never really looked at the parts as a cohesive unit when I made mine, went with which parts I liked on their own... my next saber will get the rest of the parts that I didn't get this go around :)

They limit folks to this many pieces to keep the agonizing over every single piece down. They can't cycle a hundred grand an hour through if it takes even one person per fifteen minute class a little extra time to make theirs perfect. That's why these options are available outside the Workshop, so you can't mess with the timing of the experiences.

Protection and Defense is just the best-looking of all four themes. I keep looking and looking, but I can't see a way to create one that looks ugly or 'wrong'. While I like James' flashier gold flange with dark ribbed grip design better, that plainer stripes-rings-and-studs design Dan is holding is appealing as well. I think regardless of how I'd build the hilt, I'd pick a purple kyber crystal for the blade. Howabout... we do an all-rings and coppery design? Ringed Activation plate with the big gold button, black and copper ridged lower sleeve, ringed gold-striped and copper-studded upper sleeve, copper studded emitter, and blunt copper ringed pommel piece? The gold flanged pieces are sweet, but it should still look great without them. It would be almost identical as the one on the right at 2:19, just with the other activation plate.

When I went to Galaxy Edge i asked a Cast member about buying extra scrap pieces and was told that i can buy and mix and match sets BUT they ask that we dont do that since obviously the sets arent meant to be together from a continuity aspect or lore aspect.

I built one of these as my second Savi's saber and it is identical to James' except i have the sleeve with the inscription instead of the ribbed grip. During the build, one of the Gatherers asked me if i knew what it said... it took everything I had to not break the theming of the moment/experience and respond with "Made in China?" :-D I love this saber though. I love the Knights of the Old Republic feel to it.

Don't buy anything off Ebay. I am a passholder and have very close friends who work at the parks. EVERYTHING will be coming back into stock. Nothing is limited UNLESS is says "first edition" or "open edition". Also, maybe some shirt designs or things of that nature, but when it comes to sabers, kyber crystals, droid parts they are just out of stock, not sold out. There is no need to spend a shit ton of money on Ebay for things that are going to be re-stocked. Don't believe anyone who tells you these things are limited and sold out. it's a lie, sold out and out of stock are two very different things.

Another channel had his plated in rose gold. I have also been playing with mine, i found i can pull the crystal, push up on the button that retains the crystal. And i can ignite the blade with the crystal a few inches away. I also noticed mine (blue crystal right now), has three sounds for movement, and three sounds for impact that play in a predictable loop. Mostly i found the movement sounds the most disappointing. Overall i love the saber!

I have that exact problem of the upper grip not lining up with the activation switch, and the emiter not lining up with either the upper grip or activation switch. They're on 3 different planes, and it kind of drives me crazy. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I've taken it apart a ton of times and put it back together, trying to start twisting them on at different points, but nothing helps.

Hey has anyone tried using thread seal tape to make the saber tighten symmetrically? Cause if you apply it you should be able to tear the excess away and have a nice tight seal for swinging

i would consider protection and defense to be a more old-republic style lightsaber and peace and justice is more of a clone wars era style of lightsaber. don't know how to place power and control and elemental nature. perhaps elemental nature represents a more ancient jedi when technology was not quite as advanced and more natural components made it into light sabers more often. and perhaps power and control represents the era of the empire.
