Traction compound makes big difference in onroad racing. Probably less so in offroad, but it could still help to varying degrees, depending on the suface conditions. In dusty conditions it would probably be minimal, but with super packed "blue groove" clay or on carpet I could see it making more of a difference.

Will this help restore aged tires?

It will help make the rubber softer and more grippy. If you're old tires are dried out, it should help. Although, if they're really old and dried out, they may start cracking and this product won't help that. -Brett

Would be good if you explain how spraying something on your tires adds traction. I realize you’re not a physicist or scientist but neither am I. But saying here’s some products, buy them, with no explanation as to how or why it works other than what I could gather from a label makes you seem like a snake oil salesman.

Hi camerakid. The fluid works like a marinade in the rubber, softening and moisturizing the dry rubber. In doing this, the rubber becomes soft, pliable and grippy. The cost? The rubber wears out faster. The traction fluid is good to experiment with and can really help out. Hope this helps. -Brett
