as the other guy said, most is in 4/4, but there are a few exceptions, 2/4, 7/8, and 3/4 pop up in some places, and in the last bar before Tim starts the crazy fast hammer-ons going up the strings is in 9/8.

no, actually. Dissentience and Limb from Limb are on the site, which I'll rip later and put up. They played Bloodmeat and Divine Suicide the last time they were on.

Yeah, I asked Luke at Warped Tour if what it said on Wikipedia about them taking two years to learn Kezia was true and he laughed. He said obviously they like to challenge themselves and write difficult material, but it never took them two years to learn the material.

@kearon812
@kearon812 15 жыл бұрын
Holy poor rody all the MTV live performances are played way faster then they are supposed too be that is why rody sounds a bit rushed in some parts but Props too Tim, Luke, Arif and Moe for playing faster then it already is :) Amazing job though.

@IIThesaviour if you think this is metal, you have a wrong idea about metal. the metal is extensive, with many subgenres, you can not say that PTH is just metal, because only "metal" does not exist as such.

@IIThesaviour I'm not like that, but in metal some things must be subgenred, because you can't say that Iron Maiden sounds like Necrophagist, yeah, you can generalize and say that's just metal, but PTH doesn't fit in none of those metal generalities.

@1223dude1223 Man, this is not metal. It's Mathcore, a fusion between Math Rock and Post-Hardcore. Also, this song, sounds a bit like Technical Death Metal, but, it's not Metal. :)

hmmm.... guitar riffs at the end aren't what i pictured PTH cranking out live... oh well, it still rules that they wrote shit like that anyway.
@ddensu
@ddensu 14 жыл бұрын
@lordguitarist00 "Heavy guitars, distortion, sweep picking, screaming", LOL! Man, Metal is more than that stereotype. There are a lot of kinds of metal, and PTH does not fit in none. Just listen to the vocalist, and you can say that PTH is more influenced by Post-Hardcore, but yeah, the guitarist is more talented than a common post-hxc guitarist, but their musical direction, their melodic riffs, and their prog. structures... this definitely isn't metal, is more like mathcore or post-hxc.
