When the proteus 1 and 2 came out external FX costs were huge, I felt the lack of internal FX even just reverb let these sound modules down, nice to see and hear someone still using them today,

Wow! These pedals really add new dimension to the sound. On Sunset Guitar, though, it seems to mask the sound of the "strings" being strummed. All in all, a very ethereal enhancement. Good investment Paolo.

I just picked one of these up for about $40. I mainly got it because I need a multitimbral synth to record to my sequencer recorder. I'm still a little new to music but your a huge inspiration for me, especially the italo disco style! Ciao paulo

Very nice demo showing how much FX pedals can take even a old ass synth sounds to another level. I wasn't even thinking about FX pedals but now hearing what u did really inspired me to start looking to add some to my setup. I got an Proteus-2500 with the Protozoa card & was thinking about selling but now.... I don't know. BTW I just recently found out about Harold Budd about 2 weeks ago & love his style of music. So far my favorite albums is Ambient 2 & The Pearl both with Brain Eno. Thanks for making these videos!

I play ukulele (at least try hard to😋), mine has an output jack which I plug into an old Korg multi effects peddle. I'd love to hear you push some Ukulele sounds through this pedal set up. PS. Sunset Guitar dry reminded me of The Beatles - All My Life organ solo by George Martin at least sonically it did. Child's Play sounded just like Eninio Morricone - Watch Chimes from a Few Dollars More

These digitech pedals are not only great sounding but also relatively inexpensive and offer stereo (which is great for synths and keyboards). Instead of a Polara I have a digitech Supernatural as part of my chain but I'm considering adding a Polara too. Shhh! Don't tell everyone. They may all discover how good these pedals are.

Great! This is the secret of making great tools for good ambient music and the best artist like Brian Eno and others using this technique. Do NOT sell your hardware synths- get some cool efx boxes instead and re-use them and be creative!

SynthMania I'm not absolutely certain, but I think it has the same synth engine that's in the Korg M1. There are two of them the P3 which is the piano module, and the PO 3 which is the symphony.

@SynthManiaDotCom
@SynthManiaDotCom 6 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately you can't synchronize the W-30 to the CR-8000 directly simply using a MIDI cable, it won't work - you need to get another device in between that converts between MIDI and DIN Sync - there are several on the market including Roland's own fairly recent SBX-1, google "MIDI to Roland DIN Sync converter"

Confession: Music gear that is not analogue scare me. I've had a bit of not analogue gear and I've failed to bond with them so it makes me really gun shy about straying from analogue. Perhaps I should blow the dust off my Vox Delaylab and Line 6 M13 and try and come to friendly terms with them again...

You should try out the Zoom MS100BT, it has a great collection of FX and they just made all the iOS downloadable effects free.
@VisVitalisDJ
@VisVitalisDJ 6 жыл бұрын
I own the Zoom MS100BT and the Digitech Polara. Yes the Zoom is a good FX Pedal (you can build 6 effects chain) but the polara is even more brilliant. And so I think it is, when it comes to do chorus or delay. But I'll try to get one Obscura to get a closer look on that. Don't understand me wrong, but my opinion is, that Digitech is the "real" good sounding warm thing. The Zoom is not bad, but it sounds thinner and not as mighty it sounds with the Digitech Products.
