I'm going for a consultation for PBT. I too will not be alone. My Lord will go before me. Thanks for the encouraging testimony.

Please tell me after it’s been now nine years that you’re OK and you still recommend this treatment?? This would help me greatly thank you!!

I too would like to know how Mr. Harris is doing now. I've been told that complications from radiology can take several years to manifest after initial treatment.

Thanks for this. Inspiring me to do proton beam. I'm very worried about side effects of prostatectomy surgery (ED, incontinence, etc). How have you been dealing with side effects from proton beam?

Hi, if you speak privately to me about this? I had a stoke 10 months ago and now I have prostate cancer. Feeling very vulnerable. Have you learned anything since? Let me know if we can talk. Tomorrow I go the U of PA hospital. I just learned about another therapy out of England. That could be a game changer. And just one day!

Tons of videos of prostate cancer patients from 10 years ago (now is August, 2023) and very few have any updates. Not very encouraging for us that are looking into various treatments. Did they all die prematurely or all cured and don’t every go back to comment on the treatment/results.

A lot depends on your age and severity of CA. How old and fit were you when you had surgery and how far along or bad was your CA. I am trying to decide between surgery or the newer methods of radiation. Absolutely want nothing to do with ADT or hormone (chemical castration) therapy. I am 60 yo, fairly fit with Gleason 7 (4+3)

@@alanaldpal950 Just seeing this question I was very fit I was 51 PSA was 37 I never had any issue until they went in and did a biopsy almost like they disturbed it. All they kept saying we need to be aggressive and get it taken out I really wish I hadn’t listen to them I read about a man older than me with PSA of 400 and still didn’t have it remove he changed his ear habit to fight the cancer..

@@rolankelly9683 Well, I ended up doing 20 sessions of proton beam therapy at Loma Linda, in SoCal and just finished last session a month ago. Happy so far with no side effects other than maybe needing to pee a bit more often. Won’t know how effective treatment was for many months (or years). I almost chose surgery because of my relatively young age and good health. It seems most will advise younger people to go with surgery first as it allows other treatments as you age and may have re-lapses. So at 51, I would not beat yourself up over choosing surgery, even though I am not sure about this “conventional wisdom” of surgery 1st followed by radiation as a 2nd Tx and then ADT/ hormone therapy as the third line of attack. Only advice I can give to those still trying to choose a treatment is look into Everything, and do that concurrently as it took me 6 months to finally see all the different specialists and alternatives and I never fully exhausted looking into all options.
