This guy is a huge asset to Neve. Rather than trying the hard sell, you can tell he's really passionate and honest about this console. Think I'm sold.

It's comforting knowing that Neeve is adapting to a more digital environment.

About three weeks ago we visited AMS NEVE facilities in Burnley England to test the Genesys Black. We brought our test tracks which had a lot of problems in the mid frequencies Previously we have tried many plugins to tweak the harshness. It did not work. As soon as we patched the tracks to Genesys Black we couldn't believe how those harsh midrange frequencies are tamed and not the mention the stereo field became more open. Yes it is expensive but at least you try and see the results for yourself. BTW the EQ alone in this board amazing.

So in your case you was not able to fix your issues with digital and upon using this desk your problems were resolved! This is Awesome! However this does not mean that digital could not fix the problem. it means you just lacked having the right plug in for the problem! I know you tried many plugins but you obviously did not try the right one! I think sometimes there is a placebo effect... If you come to this desk expecting it to fix something then it will. What I don't like about this desk is that they give you all these knobs and yet only 4 or 5 of them are for eq control and drymaics! So how can I see everything in one go?? I cant? I know the eqs and such are shown like plugins but they are internal to the desk and are indeed analog! I just hate that as large as that desk is EQ and DYNAMICS are not part of the channel strip in terms of control! The whole point of having a desk this large or larger is to be able to see and access eqs and dynamics all in one go!

finally somebody admits that the DAW should be the centre, and not an old big desk which hardly anybody uses anymore, as the DAW is getting used. Don't get me wrong, I love those desks, but anybody who makes money bascically uses the DAW as the centre piece.

Sometimes I understand what people say about daw and the computer I'm a photographer by trade interested in recording I notice how the computer has played such a part in photography some of it I hate cuz nothing is direct anymore no more darkroom no more chemicals no more real instant gratification I think it was simpler than I think that's what's happened right across the board music and photography the computer has so many problems with it and I do believe that is too many variables to mess it up when is someone going to sit down and make machines that are dedicated solely to making music without a PC or laptop or a machine that's dedicated to doing photography not a PC or laptop but dedicated machines if they're going to be computers why can't they be dedicated to just those causes it would be so much easier then that way they could tweak it and get it to perform on just that you turn on a button you produce pictures just like that you turn on the button you start recording just like that so much easier. What if you had to load a program in to vacuum your floor what if you hit the load in a program to wash your dishes with your dishwasher that would be crazy. Your vacuum cleaner has everything you need on board your dishwasher has everything on board your refrigerator has everything on board washing machine has everything on board why can't you're recording the system and have everything all aboard your photography have everything on board
@justinkinter86515 жыл бұрын
This is a super interesting idea, they should make a digitally controlled machine, that develops photos. The only parameters being whatever mix of chemicals and whatever else you need to develop photos

“Large format analog console and total recall don’t exist”..... ..... ssl 4000? 9000? Did 30 years ago
@StirfriedGerman4 жыл бұрын
Ys but not instant. A total recall on Neve VR or SSL G series with 50-60 channels in use + outboard gear used to take 30-40 minutes, since only the faders were motorized, the rest needed to be dialed-in manually.

Marco Mark Productions Because the sound quality is far superior to anything you will record “in the box”. Your plug ins and VST instruments DONT stack up against an actual console tracking real instruments.

Excellent video except that only wankers use Pro Tools. No dude, what you have done historically is not to colonize pro audio users for some Yankee janks who have been using software to Microsoft pro audio. Dude you have seriously conflicted statements and priorities.
