Just a little home-brew printed circuit board (PCB) production. Admittedly it's a small circuit that could be done with through hole components, but I wanted to try making my own PCBs! This process is well suited for prototyping and small scale production.
The printed circuited boards PCBs came from OSH Park.
The solder stencil came from OSH Stencils. I've used OSH Park and OSH Stencil for several projects and I've been 100% pleased with each of their results.
The solder paste is Kester EP256. The toaster oven used for the re-flow was a normal toaster over. It was purchased from Kohls. I followed the re-flow temperature profile listed in the Kester EP256 datasheet.
If you've never tried to make your own boards for fear of the unknown, let me assure you - if I can do it, so can you. OSH Stencils provides an affordable kit to get started with solder stenciling, and they include a solder paste spreader with every order.
