Every Runescape Player should unlock this cape

Tips on *actually* getting the cape: 1) *Don't panic.* Zuk punishes panicking players. 2) Complete City of Senntisten and Brink of Extinction quests for damage reducing abilities and equipment: Obsidian mage helm, which works against TzekHaar, gives increased accuracy and grants a 9% damage reduction against them - increased to 19% if you donate Tokkul to the coffer in Fight Cauldron. Animate Dead synergizes with the above armour and adds flat damage reduction *on top of* the reduced obby + coffer damage. 3) Bring brews and utilize brew eating with blue blubber jellies, also bringing a few super restores to help counteract the stat drain. Hellhound helps, but stock it with scrolls so it doesn't die from all the damage it absorbs (Hellhound only recommended if you know what you're doing or have Cryptbloom armour, otherwise use a yak with 3:1 Rocktail/Sailfish to Blue blubber jellyfish). 4) For Zuk himself, 4.1) During the instakill DPS check, utilize the "three squares" method. Splitting the arena into 8 equal pieces (with Zuk himself at the center), the mobs that spawn in after being dragged will *always* be 135 degrees clockwise from the position you were dragged into/the last mob's spawn position. 4.2) Sear mechanic hits for 1 melee hit and 2 magic hits, 1 tick apart (with both magic hits being dealt at the same time). You can pray-flick to mitigate the damage. 4.3) For Quake mechanic, simply surge away. The explosions are centered around where Zuk initiated the mechanic, not Zuk himself.

I would suggest using a mammoth over a yak for it's special ability. Being able to stack big heals with losing minimal adrenaline can really help low level or inexperienced players survive. (edit: mammoth spec lets you eat first food in bob for it's heal "best with high instant heal food" without losing adrenaline and you can stack this with normal eating so in 1 tick can heal almost 5k hp)

To add to your suggestion of Brews + Jellyfish: Also bring expensive spices, you may even consider using the Blessing of Het archaeology relic to add further Healing to your Food and Brews without having to spend extra on more expensive items. The Ooglog/anachronia spa thernal waters alongside the Bonfire/Desert Pantheon aura HP boost can also help you a lot here. If you're using Revo Basics and want to attempt HM Zuk, remember to use High Hitting abilities and all your Bleeds on the Conduit of Ful, while you are running around, if you're using a defender, use barricade, stand still while you do a couple of Channeled abilities, and keep running after they're done, it's a bir slow but hella effective. I mean, you can read a whole encyclopedia of tips and tricks, but you'll never measure how effectively you can do the boss until you give it a shot, so muster your confidence and go!

I want to throw out there that learning each checkpoint one at a time with a ripper demon, and Gano perked up with defensive abilities and animate Dead is a really good way to get used to not using food at all until Zuk himself. I bring a melee switch since it's my best style (I wear a melee cape, and lac boots while wearing Cinderbanes and the rest is Gano so my accuracy isn't tanked for either style when I switch) Edit: Don't be ashamed of camping a shield for rangers, they hurt like hell.

The Zuk death less is sooo easy rn with magic. Use the obsidian magic helm-Crypt top-Legs-boots-cinderbanes. Use a hellhound with 50 scrolls Donate 30k-45k Tokul for the % dmg reduction. Use a blessed flask+penance powder. This lets you bring so much food, the hell hound drastically reduces the chance to die. You can basically just keep SS up for everything but Jads. You can survive the 3rd challenge with a basic barricade just before the attack hits/ use a devotion for the first attack then barricade. On zuk just relax and use surge as the earth quake starts to avoid it, use freedom+devotion/vit pot the magma ball attack. Camp soulsplit the whole zuk fight. And then just use the classic pizza rotation of Surge/BD. Stun+dot-surge/bd (asphyx)+dot-surge/BD pop bubble. Take your time build adrenaline drop a sun and click the button. It’s like such a easy fight to do deathless after a few good try’s. The flawless run requires more focus and adrenaline usage.

If you have completed Brink of Extinction, create an Obsidian mage helm (counts as *tank* armour, so benefits from Animate Dead), then donate Tokkul to the coffers for flat 10% damage reduction and reduced degradation rate. It actually helps immensely.

I finished the waves before teleporting out, then practice several times untill I could do the full mechanic circle without dying. Still very hard, but I have manage to make the full run twice. The secret is lots of practice and being ready to burn a ton of gp and flasks

@@JackTheGames Nothing you mentioned prepares you for Zuk's fire pizza. Like the other guy said literally any magic tank armor and animate dead will see you through the entire waves but not panicking on fire pizza will simply just come from experience. Took me about 3 attempts to get a flawless run, I came back to RS3 after like 7 years since I am burnt out of OSRS, so if I can do it, you definitely can.

Melee is hard, that's why it's recommended to just use the "Magic Helmet Setup", that being Animate Dead + GChain + GConc. Y'know the braindead magic setup even the most incompetent of PVM'ers can use to AFK content in game. That one. Then you just make the Melee Cape. The only reason i can see people doing NM Zuk, let alone HM Zuk with Melee, is for the challenge of it.

Making stuff up in an ad hominem comment doesn't really help you and is just unfair to the effort I put in my videos. I don't remember saying it was the worst at all and if it was pre release we had too little information to judge accurately (edit; pre newspost, but after the limited info stream). I have played a lot with magic combat style since and decided to make this video based entirely off of my own experiences. Even if my friends assisted me in telling where the cape would be good, what would that matter or change?I would still have to test it to see if thats really the case. 3 months of heavy magic use is more than enough to judge if its good or not by myself.

Honestly with mid to late game gear fire cape is a joke and the only hard part is Jad himself, but even then if you can prayer flick it's super easy. I encourage you to learn Jad and do the Kiln soon after. Great gear upgrades and will help you get a taste of PvM.

Normal mode zuk isnt end game content at all.. seasingers+ animate dead makes the waves bottom tier easy to survive and the lure spot is braindead. Sure zuk might take a few tries but he only has like 4 moves.. its middling content around the same level as ed2 or nex solo.

@@Pikawarps that's where the cognitive bias comes from ;-) The ultimate challenge is Zamorak at the highest possible enrage. Zuk is challenging but give it time and it'll become powercrept to oblivion making it easier to do. Zamorak, on the other hand, wont.

Yeah, I wish we had some abilities to help us reduce damage, Maybe even call them something appropriate like "defensives" or something. Oh and i also wish Jagex added an ability or maybe a spell that reduced all damage you take, but only once per spell. Make its simbol a small shield with a blue cross too and we have a deal. I wish we had those to help us mitigate the One Shot Mechanics in places where they're not avoidable by dealing properly with them. But i guess these abilities don't exist in our game, so I'm considering quitting until they add them so it's easier for me to play.
