Once my dad laughed about me cause I called my horse my friend. And he said "phaha a horse? A friend? They just poop and eat money." And since that point I trained even harder to archive something I really wanted. Please don't give up on your dreams, even if someone tells you to do something else, do the thing you love, you won't regret it.

Kids in my lunchroom at school were saying" I can't believe Emma (me) likes horses their so weak and it's easy you sit and go over stuff." I went over and said "You know what's cute? That you play foot ball and 'hurt and break' your bones. But I break my bones, ride from an animal that has a mind, body and soul of its own that will crush me in two seconds! I practice 13 hours 7 days a week. And what do you do? Play a sport that can't kill you but can hurt you. You can't prove something is weak until you know you are stronger." Then a kid there stood up and laughed I slapped him and walked away.

This is so amazing, I have wanted my own horse for a long time and whenever I ask mum for a horse she says no. I ask for a lease horse. Still no. I ask why she says we can't afford it I say lease horses are super cheap, she says she doesn't want to pay the lease fee. So for 4 years I saved for my own horse, or a lease horse mum tried to stop me but I just brushed her off and told her that I would prove her wrong. After 4 years of saving and making a notebook on why I should get a lease horse she finally said yes! My friends who have horses didn't try hard for it, they wanted it bad but they didn't work for it their parents just got them one. I am the only one out of my friends who actually worked for it. I worked for what I wanted, I worked hard for it. Remember hard work will always lead to success.

I wanted one and kept asking for years we got property from my nans will and when I was 11 they said yes so we looked for a horse and I kept saying no when we saw the horses then when I was 12 1 month of 13 I found the right horse it was love at first sight and I had always been a nervous rider but never was when I am on her people keep asking why I chose her and I say she chose me because she did we have always had an unbreakable bond

For a long time, I've loved horses (most likely ever since I've seen a pony for the first time and was able to ride it) however I was unfortunate because I didn't get to grow up with horses because my mother could never afford one. Many years later to my senior year of high school (this school year) I've been looking for colleges that offer equine science. My family kept trying to persuade me to choose a different career path (such as being a vet or an artist) but I wouldn't hear it. I'm happier around a horse, heck if I have to shovel poop until I can get my own horse, so be it. It's won't be easy, but it'll be worth it for me in the end.

God I hate that kind of people. Always full of advice and whatever you do it's wrong. But the most important thing is doing what makes you happy. My cousin Is 30 now and still doesn't have any degree & lives with his mother because she won't let him do what he likes. He already failed at 3 universities at law, medicine and It because he just hates it and wants to be a musician. Just don't listen to others and listen to yourself and everything will be all right. I'd rather be poor and doing stuff that makes me happy (like I am now ;D) than be rich and having a job I hate.

People that say that horse riding isn’t a sport or that we just sit there have probably never even tried. People that say a horse isn’t a friend there right it’s a best friend! People that say it’s boring tell them I find football boring but I don’t go hate. People that say it requires no skill tell them to say that once they have rode a horse. People that say it isn’t life threatening that it’s harmless ask them have they fallen from an animal twice the size of them, have they had a 1200lb animal fall onto them and crush them? People who aren’t equestrians that hate on our sport need to realise we don’t care what you say. Ask them have they done it?

My mom has stopped trying to stop me. I want to be a professional horse rider. But my mom.. She doesn't believe in me because horses are "dangerous" i have only been having lessons for 5 months when my mom stopped me. I quit for a year after that because i wasn't allowed to be anywhere near a horse. She made me grow fear for horses. But i didn't quit every wednesday i was with a friend. Riding together at her stable. After we grew apart i thought i would never horse ride again. Until i got my "own" horse. The owner of the horse allowed me to take care of her, ride her, take lessons with her. Together we are growing everyday. We have our ups and downs and i might not be the best rider but i improve with my horse EVERYDAY. she isnt used to having anyone on her back. She got abused by the previous owner. But we trust eachother. But my mom told me i could never achieve it anymore. i picked myself from the ground and decided i can. I have fallen and gotten up everytime from then on. My confidence is growing because of my horse i trust her with my life. Im still having the thing that i need to get used to horse because every horse galops, trots, walks different. People dont understand that but i do everything at my own pass. Im not gonna give up because together summer and me are gonna do great and sometimes mistakes might be my fault and others hers but idc because we do regret our mistakes and sometimes we both lose it all but thats fine! Because nothing can replace my passion. No one is born a "rider" im the only one in my family with a huge heart for horses. So when people say "im a born rider" u arent u become it through trust, love, friendship, and mistakes. Learn from those mistakes because u will improve everytime

Wow, amazing video. I live far from my hobby club and do not have regular training. But I love horses so much that it will never stop me. Even when I do not ride, I think about horses, I read about them and I learn about them and equestrian sport. My coach says it's a miracle I'm progressing so fast. People do not understand it here. My parents do not understand it, but they support me. As hard as ever, you should never give up your dreams.

My dad never sees nor accepts my point of view. My horse didn't do on the racingtrack, so he was given up on. No one loved him. And so he came to me, my very first horse. It was love at first sight. "I trust in my horse, he's my best friend" I said. "You can never trust a horse" he replied. "Your horse is an idiot, he's pathetic and useless" he has said, several times. "No, he's smarter. Smarter than you, silly bastard..! You just don't see what I see" I replied. "Not all horses has what it takes you know.." he said once. "But I know my friend and I know what we can do. And I don't give a shit about how long it will take, it will work" I replied. I'll never, EVER give up on my friend. He saved my life and I'll save his. He gave me a reason to live, now I'm returning the favor by helping him through all of his problems, showing others that he's worth just as much as other horses. And that he too has a reason to live. He's my soulmate, my best friend and my light in my darkness. Everyday I think to myself: "I don't want to fight anymore.. I don't want to live.." and then I see his wonderful presence and look into his eyes, give him a big hug. And I can see it in his eyes, he says: "Don't worry, don't cry. I'm here for you" He must be an angel, he came to me in the worst of times and helped me so damned much.. I can't even imagine a life without him.

Horses make me who I am I wouldn't be the same without the feel of there Maine against my fingers, the breeze against my face when I ride, hearing them nicker softley when I arrive at practise. So what I'm saying is with out horses I wouldn't be ME today. Horses are unpridictibale but they are my life and I would to any thing to ride them

First sorry for my english if it's bad but it's not my first language. So i love horses with all my heart but I'm too scared to do something in future with them, like get a job in stable. I was thinking "maybe Computer Graphics will be good because I'm an artist" but I can't stop thnking i will miss something in life if i choose this over horses. I used to ride in one stable but after a while I just didn't like the owner and girls that were there. Now I'm really scared that if I choose horses I won't make living and will be poor without a house, car and things like this. But also I want to show my family I can be good at something, I WANT to be good at horse riding. But I'm scared of my future.

I've been riding for 6 years and I'm back to jumping 50cm. I was jumping 130 last year but I had a fall and I knocked my confidence. I'm trying to build myself up but I feel like crap when I'm jumping the same as a person who's been riding a few weeks and I see people who've been riding as long as me jumping 150. I know it doesn't define my riding but it doesn't feel good.

I know the struggle. I've had a couple of really bad falls lately and now I'm also insecure riding. But comparing yourself to others won't do any good because everyone is different. Some people are afraid of jumping and even 50 cm seems huge for them. My friend who started riding with me now wins international competitions and I'm far from that lol. As long as you want to keep riding and don't give up you have possibility to ride like them or even better. Just keep on trying

You don’t have to accept us as friends, but you must know the danger us as equestrian are in anytime we are with horses! You don’t have to talk to us but you must know that we.. we equestrians *LOVE* are sport, and risk death! Don’t believe me? Well have you ever fallen off a 7ft high creature running at the speed of a car on a highway? With nothing but a helmet and possible a body protector on? *NO* I know you haven’t.. because even when you say “It’s easy” you know it’s not. And even when you say “I could do it in a heartbeat” you won’t, your too scared... Respect us That’s all you need to do

i really like horse riding, but first of all i'm scared to canter or gallop, but i just know that i'm gonna change that tomorrow, i really want to get over my fear! and if i fall, i just need to get back up! but second of all my parents don't allow me to do it for real😖 right now i'm just on a horse camp for a week and that's it. my sister is obsessed with horses and she found this place full of horses where she can work, but they don't need any more people to help so i'm really stuck right now😞

My parents, brother, trainer, family, said I can’t ride, I’m like “have you trusted a 1,000 plus pound animal that has a mind/spirit of its own? Football, soccer, is hard but can’t kill you, but draco can kill me in 2 seconds!” My brother said “ Quinn (my name) I believe and love you but you can’t keep doing it” myself: “ well, have you trusted a animal that can kill you in 2 seconds? No you haven’t because you play soccer, you break bones, while I risk my life to work with draco” brother “ Quinn come with me” we went to the barn. “Now Quinn show me how to jump a 2 foot fence” me “ok jack” I shown him how it was done he is offended
