Cool video. We went there back in '20 during the whole Covid thing and it was the longest day trip we've taken since we live about 4 hours away. We loved it because it provided us (well....me) with great video and photograph opportunities. We did hike all the trails which added up to about 11 miles total then had that long road ahead to get back home. Luckily we mostly avoided rain as it started as we were finishing up the Back Country Trail which was the last thing we did. It was a very long day (up around 2:45 AM and back home after 10:00 PM) but we both agree it was very much worth it. Plus I got to put my fear of heights to the test.
@NickandRachel3 ай бұрын
Thank you Appreciate it! We've been a couple of times over the years but I still haven't done the backpacking trail yet maybe one day I'll go out there and do it! Very unique place. Dang that is a long day lol I've always hated doing day trips not sure why I just would rather spend the night somewhere so it takes a lot for me to get up and go do something for a few hours been driving back home lol That's why we don't do many things around us most of the time it's out of state.

@@NickandRachel I'm not fussing, but it is weird, if there is no food around people will eat what they have to, to survive, but only have to. You have a great channel, like I said, not fussing, just a comment out of curiosity, when the world is starving I may consider it, only then. There was a channel a few years ago mixing earthworms in ingredients making a cake, that is just gross, NOT for me, LOL. Still enjoy your channel. 👍👍👍👍
@NickandRachel3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I can see how people think it's weird lol. First time I ever had a bug was in South America. Lots of those countries eat them even in five star restaurants lol. Crazy how fast something can catch on I remember reading something a while back about when America was first being colonized only poor people ate lobster and then eventually five star restaurant starting adapting it into the recipes and then it became something the rich ate lol. I think I'll try almost anything once lol. Well I'm glad you still enjoy the channel 😁 We're in a bunch of different Facebook groups about foraging mushrooms and wild edibles edible bugs all kinds of different things.... I think it started a long time ago with me never really wanted to feel like if I had to do those things it was going to be the end of the world but something I've already done and comfortable with.

@@NickandRachel I hear you, I always remember the story Wendy Bagwell used to tell, He was a preacher with a comedic twist to it. He used to tell a story about a church that had Rattlesnakes and people would pick them up, which meant taking up the serpent. Someone asked him if he was going to take up the serpent (Rattlesnakes) and his comment was the Lord never commanded me to do that, He said The Lord didn't command me to do that and I ain't. Meaning I have better sense. That's my feelings on eating Bugs, when the world has no other food I may try it but until then, I ain't. 🍀🍀😊🙏
