Great video! I ended up on StarLink last summer because my rural area only has DSL running around 3Mbps on average. This helps me understand the tech a bit more.

I may be mistaken, but stated that Starlink is high frequency at around 2 ghz. That may be true for legacy systems like hughsnet, but Starlink is in the 10+ghz range. Just wanted to provide clarification. I love your content!

I don't mention the frequencies for Starlink because they are many, varied, and not important for the Network+ exam. The discussion of 2 GHz frequencies was covered in the discussion of legacy satellite services.

Can you upgrade your LAN to Fiber wiring yourself or does the ISP have to change the type of signal being sent?

The ISP determines the media used to transmit their services.

Your ISP is most likely using fiber to transmit your provided Internet. If you want to create your own infrastructure of fiber, you can definitely do that within your Lan

you can convert anything on your side of the demarc to fiber if you want. So if you want to use fiber from your router to other devices thats fine. But if you want fiber from the street ran into your home, you have to contact the isp

This video session on NET+ is about 14 hours long. If you take notes on portions that aren't sinking in, it'll take a little longer. I dedicated a month for these NET+ videos and I'll be ready to pass the exam. But I may pass on the NET+ cert and go for the CCNA instead.

@@erikthered7422 Im attending a community college atm and I’m actually taking a networking course that prepares me for the network +. It is through test out though, so I go back to these videos and other sources for clarification. Im also taking the CCNA 4, 7 week classes.

@@sebastianlisowski9208 I stopped going to college because there are parts that don’t sink in well, no matter what the teaching strategy is. Then the rest of the course is a loss. Right now, I’m stuck on calculating subnets and such. So far, that’s the only hang up I’ve had but I’m going on three weeks of focus on this one thing. A college course won’t stop and wait for me. I will get it though. Will you get both, Net+ and CCNA?
