Not sure if this helps, but I use ladies nail files (the type made from sandpaper) to burnish relays and they work for me, mainly because they are rigid.

That is definitely a good idea! I will try that out next time. Thanks for the tip!

Fantastic two things one how did you lower the gate with the lights and bells coming on and two watch out for storms they could be severe hopefully they won't damage any of your equipment

When the gate drops past a certain point, the lights (and bell if connected to the same relay like in this case) will activate. The thing that activates the lights and bell is one of those copper contacts you see me maintaining in the video. In the beginning of the video, I used insulation to keep that contact open as I made my gate light inspection to reduce noise. As for the weather, big storms definitely cause problems with railroad signals. I am currently on call in case if any problems are reported with the crossings.

How many times a day does a train go bye

This (isolated line) is estimated at 14 trains per week (as train traffic is estimated per week or year by the railroad). This is actually very important information for me as I better understand the amount of traffic this track sees on average. More trains means more operation cycles and more wear on moving components.
