I have been riding since 1975 , never raced professionally but raced in many clubs . I'm still riding at 56 on my private mx track . It's extremely stressful on every muscle and the mind , doing 15 min on the track makes me lose ltrs of sweat . The average person has no idea what it takes.

Really fun video! I raced a lot in my younger years. Had a small 🙈 break from 2006 to 2024. My head and my throttle hand wanted one thing, the rest of my body Said SHIT whats happening. 😅 then after the second turn and first jump my brain screamed STOP, this is dangerous, what are you doing?! Had ZERO controll (compared to 2006) and my arm just pumped and pumped. Lasted 2 laps, then completley sore! After some more days on the track just going slow in a even pace trying to get my body postition right is hard enough. But it makes all of the differens. I feel with these guys, but its SO fun. Its a venom. My kids are grown up now so, this old ass of a man, 15kg fatter, 80% less strong but still Young in my mind.. its finally time to eat dust and bruced up again! 😂

@@999lazer I enjoy the channel, My last year racing was 1992, I still rode for many years after that even tested the ZERO electric bike from the local dealer back in the day.. He had me ride it around at his events... Then 2013 I got a muscle syndrome and nothing more in that arena can be done ever again. But I still hobble out on the tracks slowly now and shoot Motocross Photography every few weeks just to keep in with the sport I love. The racers love the pics and some get very excited and show off for the lens. I give them the pics for FREE as most people are charging 5$ per pic and I know how hard it is to even get the funds to race for some people I see them even using electrical tape to put numbers on the bikes just to race.. I can't go charging them for pics..

When racing on a hot day, ok when you are being "Aircooled" but when you stop, the overwhelming heat soak... I really wanna go have a go again.. glutton for punishment.

I had this problem when I was in the army and was racing enduro. I wanted to set up a team and race for the Regt in the army enduro championships back in 1996 as my Regimental sport. I was refused by all of the rankers because of that exact thought. I organised a Wednesdays afternoon for the biggest critic's to come for training. after 30 mins on the short track that we made they were sweating that much I thought they were going to evaporate. We were only doing the warmup before upping the pace to 70% of race pace. Needless to say we set up a team. You guys should have a go at an enduro for the lols. There is an easy to extreme one in Jan called Valleys Xtream which is held in wales. The lite race is for mixed bikes on fire tracks and is short. only 2 hrs.

Well, yeah sure it’s easy to ride a motorbike, but the street bike or a dirtbike they’re not hard to ride learning to ride a dirtbike the way it was meant to be used is the most difficult thing you’ll ever do in your life if you’re the type of person that gives up easily learning to ride a dirtbike is not for you people think that hitting jumps and doing wheelies and being able to do pivot turns it’s just tricks not just tricks. They’re all things that will increase your speed during races. The other thing is be ready for broken bones. Be ready for injuries because it’s not if you crash it’s about when you crash make sure you have all your protective gear so many unexpected things that can happen even just out on a leisurely ride for instance last Saturday one week ago today I went out with a few of my buddies I was at the back of the pack trying to catch back up to them baby deer ran out right into my forks and spokes on my front tire lock the front tire up at about 65 to 70 km an hour and I hit the ground hard on my right side breaking my shoulder blade only because I didn’t have upper chest protection shoulder protection. I had ordered a upper body armour protection that morning. I had my crash in the way I’m lucky it was only my shoulder blade because in about another 6 to 8 weeks I should be able to ride my bike again in a few weeks sure I won’t be able to ride like I was riding before. I’ll have to take it easy least I’ll be able to twist the throttle again.
