So I have some questions. Is this a pilot with a factory amp? If so, are those speakers rated for the factory amp? Also how did u get past the grommet on the driver door? Usually there is a connector plugged right in the hole of the grommet on Honda's

Pilots have a stock Amp. Doesn't that separate the signal already? Seems dumb that Honda would use tweeters and mids then not separate the signal.

I gotta say that was cringe when he drilled out the hole on the grill for the tweeter and all the pieces flying around; he could of at least move the new speakers out of the way of flying debris. Could also remove the grill, but up to the owner.

There is no reason to remove the entire door panel to just change the speaker. You can just undo all screws and pop off the bottom of panel and change speaker.

At that point you’re only about a step away from removing the whole thing so might as well. My problem is that it lacks detailed explanation for rookies like myself

@@dogoargento3502 I just did it yesterday and it SUCKED !!! Firstly, the door open hinge handle does NOT push through (2014) You have to remove the cables. If you break a piece of plastic you are SCREWED !!. You CAN NOT reach the wiring harness to unlatch it unless you break all the door wire holders. Remember, the plastic is 9 years old and unforgiving. What I did was pulled the panel off and hung it by a ROPE sling I made. Then struggled a bit to get the speaker in and out. Much better then breaking a cable or wire in my opinion.
