Here’s the way I interpret the album: 1. He’s meeting and getting over a girl over the course of the album, starting off with “Hi” (self-explanatory), Nice boys (Realizing she doesn’t like guys who take the whole chivalry and care thing seriously), Lost in a flower field (Feeling unappreciated), I Should Change (Trying to change the romantic part about himself to better match the type of person she likes), and Let’s Keep it Virtual (Coming to terms with it and deciding to just keep things the way they are) 2. The lyrics get more reverbed and harder to make out as the album goes on, as in he finds it harder to communicate those messages. Then on Virtual, it’s clear again, as he’s confident about his decision after accepting that she’s not “the one” for him.

This album reminds me of last winter. My friend was just heading back to her house after staying with me for a little bit. It was pouring, and I decided to walk her home. We shared my umbrella along the way, and once we got to her house, I was completely soaked, even under the umbrella. She told me that I could borrow her raincoat. I declined and yet she persisted. I put it on and it was twice the size of me. The sleeves reached my shins and the coat itself went down to my knees. As I was walking down the main road back to my home, I took in the scenery. The ambient street lights, and the once busy road, now only having the occasional car go by.

Bro. The anxiety that just filled my body as this started playing while I was working. * [ TW: Deep thoughts. ] * That beginning bit was like a traumatic event being covered. Small things are off about the situation, but you can't place a finger on what they can be. You only know that you are blind to the danger, and are completely helpless to whatever may happen. Just like feeling like you are being watched while in the woods. You subconsciously sense the danger, but in reality, you have no idea what or where it could be. Anyways... lol. Please stay safe, and remember to always listen to your bodies signals in a situation. Remember that it is okay to say "no." I love you all. Have an amazing day!

Once my friends and I had a green reunion and we invited for the first time (It was also our first reunion as the family that we are) to a new guy, who put this album on youtube, and when Nice Boys rang, oh boy .. It was a great trip! We were all on clouds!. That guy connected but so well with us that he has been part of our family instantly since then. Currently he moved to another country in search of a better future and new trip experiences. I Fucking miss that brother!. We are proud and we miss those old days.

this came on in the background whilst I was doing something and I had to stop for a moment because the first song feels so painfully bittersweet. nothing can describe the overwhelming feeling of contentment yet complete isolation I just felt.

AHHHH HELL! I missed this album so bad but it was SO hard to find when I forgot what it was called/name of the band. Because I really loved the song "Nice Boys" I kept googling "nice guys" and "homies" and lofi/bedroom pop .... Sooo glad I kept digging until I got back here. What a gem

Lyrics (Other songs in replies) Nice Boys [Verse 1] Ain't it just so easy to say You don't feel the same way As that Nice Boy does, bae? He misses you, he wants you, but You just don't feel the same Why don't you tell him today? Yeah, huh-huh-huh [Verse 2] She doesn't want him because he cares too much But now he's gone and she's alone again Maybe if she tried a little harder to find The gem within his heart that was there this whole time (Bitch!) [Bridge] Baby, what can I do? Baby, come through To me Baby, I think it's you Never was me [Outro] (Oh-oh, oh-oh) (Oh, shit)

Care [Verse] When I mess up I can't help but smile Why don't you stay for a while? I got a few things to say But you don't care anyway (You just don't care) I must be talking to a wall (A wall) Cause girl, your face (Your face) Says it all [Chorus] You just don't care I wish you cared (I wish you cared) Why don't you care? With me tonight? (Tonight) Tonight (Tonight) Tonight, tonight (Tonight) Tonight, tonight (Tonight) (Tonight) (Tonight) [Outro] When?

Daydream I'll try to be Someone Other than me So one day you will see What I do see in me But for now I'll sit and look at you But once you look at me Oh, I will look away 'Cause when I see your face My heart begins to race Girl, give me a break I don't know how much more my heart can take Baby come on now I know this is a daydream But it just felt so real Maybe when I wake up You can tell me how you feel I'll just sit here in my room And think all about you Or maybe one day I'll decide to finally talk to you (To you) (To you) (To you) (Talk to you) (To you) (To you) (Talk to you)

Alone Time Maybe if I wasn't so tired I could get something done for once But for now I'll just sit in my bed And I'll watch everybody have fun I know you think I'm complaining But I favor my time alone I dance around, laugh, and jack off And nobody can tell me no, heh I give myself some time to think it all out I try to figure out what it's all about And maybe some day I will make it outside But for now, I'll stay inside Alone time I give myself some time to think it all out I try to figure out what it's all about And maybe some day I will make it outside But for now, I'll stay inside Alone time

Lost in a Flower Field I do this all for you I guess I have it rough I'd drop it all for you But I just can't get enough I'm so tired of chasing you around Sometimes I feel like a dog on its way to the pound ('scuse me) It feels like it doesn't matter anymore I'm lost in a flower field again by myself (Now that I think about it)

I remember finding this album about 2 years ago. It feels weird just re- listening to the full thing since it reminds me of summer 2019. This album was the only thing keeping me going since I was in a very depressed suicidal state. I heard that this guy is starting to make music again and overall glad people still enjoy his music. This album to me is just some fever dream that enters your mind now when. When I was in my deep pain I didn’t understand what was happening to me. Now realizing I was not only sexualized but people hating me. What about now in 2021? Well it’s kind of going back to that mind set. I am really losing hope but feeling happy for a while before going back to being numb. My family and I are finally getting therapy together and I hate it. I guess I have some people but they don’t really care about me. I try to be nice but I’m so close to end it all. The thing that is keeping me going is my hair. I understand it’s not special but realizing I might be trans and having short hair is such a relief since when I had long hair it showed how much trauma and pain from the past. I am almost 3 days clean but it’s hard to just self harm. I just hope that I can be mostly free in the future. Whoever is listening to this, enjoy life while you can. Do some crazy shit. You only live once and I believe you can do great things. Take a video camera and explore around where you live. I believe most of all is that we have all bad days and there will be better ones soon.

pov: you've run away from "home", in fact, you're hundreds miles away from any civilization. You've never been this free. you dance in the rain, jump over stones in a riverbed, climb the highest trees, and feel the crunch of snow, grass or leaves as the seasons change. One day, you choose to listen to the comforting sound of the water in a nearby stream slowly passing by. You think; not of yesterday, not the past, not the future, but the present. In the moment, your mind expands past the outlines of your body. This is around you, this is real, this is now. You're free of any kind of bound commitment, controlled by nothing, free to soar the gentle skies for the rest of eternity as you please. It's nothing but you and your pet frog against the world. You may listen to whatever stories your mind tells you, perhaps of yourself in another life. If your brain wishes to think, let it think its' thoughts! You think that because it's something you wished to think of, so allow it. Now is but another simple moment, you will have thousands of millions of those! While bliss is but a fleeting love. Goodbye. I wish you well on your adventures and endeavors With nothing but the best - just me.

@officialburgar3 жыл бұрын
Aren't we a constraint on ourselves? Sometimes i think the blissful existence of being "free" is a concept so far from what it actually is, we associate freedom with simply not having to worry. I personally think being free is being left to your instincts, to survive, and live as our bodies were built to Isn't it like our instincts and mind want to escape the social cycle we live in? That we end up retaliating ourselves because we can't find another way to go back? Like a machine that breaks when it's exposed to something it wasn't programmed to do. Do we deserve to be as intelligent as we are? Even if our physical capabilities are almost irrelevant compared to the mind?
@justme-he7vf3 жыл бұрын
@@officialburgar that’s deep. I personally do believe humankind deserves to be as intelligent as we are. Building a hierarchy on the planet is irrelevant, and frankly restrictive. However, what would time be if humans hadn’t become the apex predator of the planet? Life would be a wasted gift, unable to communicate or enjoy modern leisurely activities. To have the capacity to think to this level, where humanity has turned metals from the earth into devices to look to the farthest side of a planet, to utilize the resources we have, to me, is the goal of life. Otherwise what would we be? Mindless creatures running barefoot competing to get the rotted carcass of a skunk. While I do believe that true freedom would be a gift, it wouldn’t be something I would sacrifice the ability to learn for. Pursuit of knowledge takes priority in my mind. That’s why I don’t run away. Every time I learn something new I realize how little I know. To understand all of the universes secrets to me is the end goal of this brief consciousness. Let me ask you this though: As people continue to die of unnaturally expanding their life ( dying of old age ), while in the past, people died closer to their prime: are we fulfilling the exact purpose the universe put us here for, or are we bending the laws of the universe to hold onto a fleeting mortality?
