When I rode this with my nephew (always super cool kid, never gets flustered) )he totally freaked out at the first drop! I’ll never forget the terrified but exhilarated look on his face! As soon as we got off he declared it was the best ride ever and wanted to ride again. Will always hold a special place in my heart for that reason

4:13 The intro where Rod Serling is on camera is real--from an actual episode. When the camera moves off him, it is someone else doing the voice, so that it fits the story of the ride.

I loooove the twilight zone. I know every episode you’re talking about. Lol. My favorite is the Will Shatner on the plane one, it used to terrify me as a child. I would be afraid to go anywhere in my house after that lol. What classic good TV! I hope they never get rid of that ride😆

Loved all the nods to the Twilight Zone, but you never mentioned why The Tower of Terriers has no dogs🤔 Also worth noting that the mannequin hand in the gift shop isn't an actual prop from the series.. its just thimbolic.😁 My last Tower of Terror experience: the third go on the ride with my besties' daughter, the doors opened, the seat tilted forward & my "ugly hat" (a straw fedora) blew off my head. The girl was ecstatic.. she hated that hat! When the ride was over, a gentleman handed me my ugly hat, explaining that just before the doors closed, it blew back in & onto his lap. 😂 Thanks for another fun vid.. you have no idea how uplifting these are during a rough year! 🖤

Great connection to the Twilight Show.... my older brothers were some 27 years older than me. This show came on Sunday evening and as a young child, when my parents would go to Sunday night bible study.... my brothers would tie me to my little rocking chair and force me to watch The Twilight Show. Lovely brothers to say the least but now are old men and I am in my prime. Ah family.

I just got randomly obsessed with the Tower of Terror 5 days ago, went to Hollywood Studios 2 days ago, and now this video today? Excellent timing, Chris. (Oh, and I visited PizzeRizzo right after riding it too!) Bonus fun fact that you didn't mention, there's a plaque inside the lobby that shows how many diamonds (or stars, as we might call them) The Hollywood Tower Hotel has earned from the American Automobile Association. Officially, a location can only get a maximum of 5 diamonds. The Hollywood Tower Hotel must be a pretty luxurious experience, because it got 13!

The main lobby is full of references as well. I love and hate this ride, it;s fun but it is also a ride of one of my fears with elevators, so I am always an easy mark for cast members when I look really anxious waiting to ride. Also the design of the hotel in Florida is designed to blend in with the Morroccon paviallon over at Epcot.

Hi Chris. Little question and not sure if anyone knows. Why is it your are told to stand on the carpet during the movie? Is it to do with space? Is it for the cast member to get round the group or does it move making you give a more uneasy feeling while watching the wee video?

Can someone tell me about the drop? I suffer from a fear of falling, but I can do drops of a constant rate with no bouncing up and down, with preparation. What is the ride like from start to finish? Are there visuals inside the ride car? For example, I could only do splash mountain in the dark when I couldn't see the drop. What my eyes see has more effect than what my body feels.
@pault5557Күн бұрын
There are multiple drops, but they are pretty smooth as I remember!
@ReadyForSummerNowКүн бұрын
The drops are random. Some are long, some short. The ride will drop the car, and then quickly take the car up. You will not know when it is dropping. Your butt will leave the seat multiple times during the ride (you are buckled in). There are visuals up to the point of when the drops happen. During the drops, there is basically a wall directly in front of you (kind of dark) with a an opening or two that you can see the outside. Check out some of the POV ride through videos on KZbin.
@remlecat8511Күн бұрын
@ReadyForSummerNow Do you know if DCA guardians and WDW tower of terror are alike? Buckled in with doors not opening, I would be OK. If I can see outside, NOPE , my eyes have told my brain you're high up and going to fall. I had to see a scale model of space mountain tracks before I could do that ride , no big drops. Big Thunder is as close to a coaster as I can handle.
