I worked security there when they first opened. Absolutely gorgeous hotel. I loved working there. Rise rooftop bar is a peaceful place to stand and watch the fireworks at Disney. I no longer live in Anaheim and can’t work there anymore but I wish I could at least visit and say hi to a few people.

Neat fact about the architect! I love that stuff! I just watched your Grand Californian vid!! We are deciding between the Westin and Grand CA. So hard to choose so far. If the Westin had a larger pool or another pool I would probably choose it, but also there's the convenience of the Grand CA....I am glad to have these vids to help!

Really great video Chris! This looks like a very beautiful hotel. The colors are incredible, I like that they are focusing on wellness. Westin hotels are really awesome and they are great hotels to stay in. I'd have to say this is more of a 10 star hotel.

I could not decide if I wanted to stay at the Disneyland Hotel again or try the Westin. I stayed at the Westin in Dubai -- fabulous vaca so it looks like we will be checking in one more time. Great Video.

I think it's crazy that they will charge $350 extra per night if your room faces the park, instead of a non-park view. It's also sad that you have to pay extra for parking and extra for breakfast.

Loved this review! Planning a trip for my family and I keep browsing your videos. Would you say this hotel is walkable with two toddlers and the grandparents to make it to rope drop? I'm aware there's an ART stop near there but I'm not sure what number route it would be and if takes longer to go by shuttle? Thank you!

The Grand California is a four diamond; they claim the only reason they are not a five diamond is because no golf course. So, how can the Westin be 4.5, without a golf course - it is a third the price of DGC, and probably worth a look

The Grand Californian is a beautiful hotel as far as the lobby but I was really disappointed with the room. Very basic. We had issues with our tv, bathtub and it smelled like sewage in the sink. It kept bubbling and burping and would spew out the smell. It was not enjoyable.

@@itsjustjuice184 DGC had renovations going on for a while. I can recommend rm 5343 or 4408; at that time they were Garden View rooms that gave a great view of the park, overlooking grizzly peak, and steps away from Napa Rose and CA elevator - convenience x10

Well I bypassed this hotel for our Christmas visit based on my Westin St. Frances experience the bed and bathroom was wonderful but table and dresser were chipped and upholstery of chair was ripped left bad taste because of the price for a room with a view should be kept up in my opinion but concierge service was superb along with their fitness center

I am sure hope you got permission from Corporate HQ and the management to film at this hotel more like what in it for them, etc You just randomly cant show up at a Hotel without permission and start filming when you don't have permission. Like universal and Disney are very strict when it comes to filming and i am sure your already aware of that.
