Desert Palms Hotel Review -- It's Right By Disneyland

I've stayed there a couple of times during VidCon. We used to love staying on property for our Disneyland trips, but they've priced us out. We stayed at Candy Cane Inn the last couple of times and have been very happy.

The type of room you got was the type of room we typically book. I think they also face Disneyland so you can see the fireworks from certain floors. We've been staying there as our hotel of choice for many years for our Disneyland visits. The short walk to/from the park was nice. We always walk back to the hotel and then head to Little Saigon for dinner, then back to the hotel and a return walk to the park until it closes, and then the walk back. Minnie is still up in the upper area in the lobby!

Aloha Amazing Chris Provost..I have stayed there many times and it IS a great hotel. It is also close to the 7-11 on the corner for good deals on water and drinks. CVS and Walgreens are across the street. If you get delivery food you may need to come get it at the lobby but no big deal..Its a nice place to stay. Thank you Chris for your review

Great hotel review!! I have never stayed at this hotel before and it looks beautiful. The divider in the rooms make a great addition to the perks of staying at a good Disney neighbor hotel. Your work and dedication to PPP really goes a long way in so many great ways Chris!! I prefer staying near Disneyland when I book hotels as it is so convenient.

We’ve stayed there 3 or 4 times over the years without issues however on our most recent visit ( earlier this year) when we checked in early evening - we were unnecessarily assigned an Ambulant room - even though we made our booking a few months prior. When we raised it with staff and asked to be moved - they weren’t very helpful claiming there were no other rooms available for the price we paid and that we’d have to upgrade and pay more . We had to move furniture to make the room work for our needs.

We just stayed there for the first time 4 weeks ago. We loved it. We finally had a place that was not overpriced for 5 of us to have enough beds. My youngest daughter usually sleeps on an air mattress at other places we’ve stayed at near Disney. However I was disappointed again this year as I never ran into you Chris. Hopefully next year. 🤞

suitcase vs unpacking. Depends on the length of stay. More than 3 days, we fully unpack. 1-3 days, we just dig through the suitcases. If we arrive non-exhausted but to late to do anything, my wife will sometimes unpack even for an overnight stay. ;)

I've stayed there several times. I love their breakfast. The walk to Disneyland entrance is a bit of a walk. It takes about 5 - 10 minutes to walk there. The rooms are larger than other hotels. The indoor pool is a plus too. Parking is a bit tight. I would give it a 4 of 5 stars. Great review Chris. Thanks.

The "Del Sol Inn Anaheim" is a great Hotel to review. It's literally across from the Disneyland entrance. I think it's a great hotel if you are on a budget and have a family. 2-star rating but I think it's a balance for a budget trip. 1:56

Wow, that hotel is really nice, but I'm worried about that walk since I am planning a trip with someone who has ambulatory issues. ie, she can get around okay but can't stand or walk for long periods, so will be getting a scooter to help with that. Any recommendations as far best hotels for those kinds of issues?

This was the first hotel I stayed at, when I starting going back to Disneyland. I went a few times as a kid. Now as a adult first time going back in 2021 and that's when I got my annual pass, how I want it back so bad. End of 2021 to 2022 and didn't renew because I wanted to go to Japan in 2023 and I did.

I prices change depending on the time of year or even just the day of the week. But, can you start giving ballpark figures on how much a stay would be or at the very least the "normal" price the average person would pay to stay the same night you were there

Yeah we stayed there a few weeks ago. It’s an average hotel and they still owe me my security refund . For the cost you can do much better

The room looks little better than Holiday Inn express. We always stay at Anaheim Westin which is right next to park and we get the room with park view. The hotel is WAY better than this Disney hotel. I am never paying the extra money for a Disney hotel because they really aren't that upscale.
