If you don't have the Motion Pro Gear Jammer you can use 2 pennies, the copper is soft and will not harm the gears!

@@steadfastjack277 Man it really depends on how the bike was ran and how often the oil is changed.. If rode lightly you can pull well over 200hrs. If rode hard, 100-150 hrs if not a little more. Always look for copper Crank Thrust Washer material when changing your oil filter.. If there is copper specs in the filter housing its time for a crank. Main bearings and Rod bearing on Crank end will last a long time, its always the thrust washer that will go first. Also when doing a Top End look for wear on the top of the Connecting Rod where the Piston Wrist Pin goes through. If its showing sign of coating wearing off then the small end of the rod is toast.There will also be play in the Wrist Pin when inserted into Rod End if its got mad wear. There should also be no up and down play when pulling up or pushing down on the Rod when doing a Top End. " If there is up and down play the Connecting Rod bearing is shot on the crank" My buddy has 350hrs on a all stock 2005 WR450. All he's ever done was change the Oil after ever ride and cleaned Air Filter after every ride. He has never had to adjust valves either. Just did the first set of fork seals. Bushing was good also in the forks.. Tires, Gas, Oil & Oil Filter and Air Filter. No joke, dudes a farmer and rides it every weekend and a time or two during the week. I just did a once over on a 2013 CRF450r for a buddy and he has 100hrs and its a solid bike. Just stay off the rev limiter, the limiter is hard on motors. No need to hit limiter.. Folks look stupid when they do.. Only if its a panic rev is it ok.

You skipped the gear that comes off of the starter that has a little metal sleeve / pin that goes through it
