Send for radiology to assess the fibula? Could be a fractured fibula causing impingement or inflammation of the common peroneal? Could also be just the superior tibiofibular joint. I would palpate static and ROM. Squeeze test? I would suggest testing the hamstrings because of its attachment to the fib. However, I'd say that it's most likely to be a peroneal longus strain. I would have muscle tested. Because of his age I would keep his lower back in the back of my mind. Lumbars, SI, hip.

I broke my fibula and tibia, it has been 3 weeks now since Surgery and my foot is still numb with pins and needles. Has anyone els had the same problem or know if thats normal after surgery?

Hey hoping you can shed a bit of light on this, 4 months ago I was walking and tripped and fell on a pothole and landed hard on my knee, I was in a lot of pain so went to get it checked out at the hospital and they said there where no fractures but to this day there is a lump and I cant kneel on my left leg at all, its the area just below the knee, if you can reach out to me for advice I would really appreciate it.
