That interest paid off, as Part 2 was way more engaging than Part 1. I recommend going back to watch at least some of Part 2, before dropping the series again. Samurai Flamenco, Amnesia, and Akame Ga Kill are three I can think of off the top of my head that I stuck around way longer than I should have because of the OP. Moriarty the Patriot from this season is pretty much the same, although I at least find the show somewhat amusing on its own. The worst is when a bad anime changes its good OP to a bad one and you have nothing left to watch for. That's just depressing then.

Noir wasn't a bad anime. Entertaining, but not remarkable. Its soundtrack, though, was amazing. The soundtrack absolutely made that series. And then you have rare gems like Cowboy Bebop, where both the show _and_ the soundtrack are masterpieces.
