Thank you for an actual subjective review on what it feels like sitting in it! So many channels claim to review it but only show installation.

Thank you for putting out this video. I was thinking about those seats myself but now I don’t think so. I have re-padded my stock seats. And they’re pretty comfortable but I have to admit they are ugly but I think I’ll put up with it now. I hope things work out for you and your new seats. Thanks again for putting out this video. I really appreciate it.

I just installed the same seats on my JK. The instructions says it’s a 30 min install but it took the whole day due to having to augment my stock seatbelt bracket to fit on the PRP’s. Wished PRP would have standard brackets that would fit if one doesn’t use the 5-point seatbelts.

I'll take them if you don't like them... Have had two sets of the bestop one through the years in my YJ. Fit well and are comfy but the soft top vinyl doesn't hold up.

I’m just not happy with how they fit. I’m going to make some custom brackets.

My LJ seats can slide/tumble/tilt forward by moving a single lever on the seatback. Were you able to retain this feature with these seats?

Sounds like a lot of complaints for 1200$ seats

Hey bro I was wondering how wide these seats were at the shoulder height? Im worried about rollbar rub.
@idratherbewheeling6 жыл бұрын
YOWIE they do rub the roll bar when you use the “adapters” on stock seat brackets. You will not be able to recline all the way and there is just enough room to push them back. The adapters also bring the seat forward so when the seat is all the way back it just hits the roll bar which isn’t far back at all.

Chris Mulzoff ok and do you know how wide the actual seats are in inches?

Hay - I have the same 03 / auto with 2017 Rubicon rims n tires had it a year - one of a kind immaculate with 50k miles. I didn't know the trans was different from the great ones in Cherokees. Question- do these things really only get 12 mpg around town even with front driveshaft and inner axels removed?
@12Bravojeepstuff6 жыл бұрын
Rudy Bishop yep, cold air intake and throttle body spacer gets you about 1 mpg more. 04 LJ usually around 11 to 14 mpg. Did also change out all the 02 sensors from the old OE ones. They do make a trail jammer kit that supposed to boost milage and power. Never seen one for actual results. Banks cold air with an air raid throttle body spacer seems to be a good match though.
@idratherbewheeling6 жыл бұрын
Yea, 12mpg sounds about right. Removing those parts won’t yield a result worth the work. Just the nature of the beast. There is nothing you can do to make a 4.0 comparable to today’s engines.

R those the standard size or the extra wide and extra tall? I'm looking into buying them as well but with the adjustable headrest
@idratherbewheeling6 жыл бұрын
Damon Richter these are the 3 or 4 inch taller ones. Standard width.

Thank you for the video. I was considering PRP's before dropping the money on Bartact covers, which is the option I chose. At the retail price of the PRP's, I'd expect much more in terms of fit and mobility. Still, nice looking seats. Have you considered recouping some of the cost by selling the OEM seats? Best wishes- R
@idratherbewheeling6 жыл бұрын
They’re deff nice seats but I agree, they should go for extra mile to design some better mounting options. People like me also aren’t their primary market. I did plan on selling the OEM Seats but I’d like to get some custom brackets built for the PRP’s so I can put the OEM brackets back on the OEM seats.
