Got mine a couple of days ago. CE 24 in Satin Black, Grey, Jade Limited Edition. I have to say, it is the best sounding guitar I have owned in over 41 years of playing. I have 3 Fenders (which i love) but this by far is the better Axe. Cost me $2,500 US.

oh man. Now I Really want a PRS. I like the satin finish look sooo much. What a great sounding guitar. Soo much like my Godin LG.
@fullmoon71927 жыл бұрын
That makes the two of us. I started a few years back with PRS SE Mikael Åkerfeldt signature (Made in South Korea). Mahogany body, maple top w/flame maple veneer, maple satin finished neck, ebony fretboard, pretty decent pickups/electronics). I'm dreaming about the real thing now. I don't think I will ever switch to any Gibson/Fender kind of thing. The real PRS from Maryland, and/or 100% Made in Canada Godin. That's my shopping list for the years to come.

I had a Godin LG from late 90's. Brand new and the wear was mine. Needed to sell it. Wish I could get it back.

Gerald Elsbree incorrect... can get the satins all around the world. Sweet water have the blue smoke burst regular ce 24 exclusively

I have had standard satin now for 2months, absolutely wonderful instrument, best guitar i have ever played, other guitars are gibson 335 and fender american performer stratt, both are great but playability on this instrument is something else. Out off the box it was quite terrible even though prs say that their guitars are perfect right away, action was very high and intonation way off, almost unplayable, but easy fix, truss rod adjustment and intonatio , after that petfect, and stays in tune way better than fender or gibson, expensive but worth it,

Wow, sounds great. What amp is played here? Just don't like the toggle switch ;)

Does the fact that it has korean hardware have a great effect on the tone of the USA pickups? Because in essence, it's the same as a core PRS Custom 24, no?
@kbkman77426 жыл бұрын
Not a huge effect but the us models have smoother saddles and brass blocks which do have an effect. CEs are not essentially custom 24s. The bolt on neck fundamentally changes the guitar - you need to pick them up side by side to see what i mean. They also do not have the full carve top these days and the tuners etc are korean also. Plus the neck is flatsawn from what I have seen. If you want a CE that is much more like a core model, look at the early 2000s models with maple tops. Quartersawn necks, all US parts, full carve tops
@HooksBill5 жыл бұрын
Tuners are not Korean.
@thadlogan514 жыл бұрын
@@kbkman7742 agree...the core doesn't sound the same... it's not as bright. The s2, and we don't sound like same guitar either. I bought a new ce and it sounds incredible though... I prefer it to the core for the snappy bright tone... maybe because I already have a Gibson Les Paul and and American standard strat and wanted a more unique tone. The only Korean pay that may make a difference is the bridge/trem...but mine stays in perfect tune and tonation spot on...so not an issue at all. The old CE may have had deeper top carve but also wierd ass wiring, crappy pickups next to new 85/15, shitty tuners, and ugly colors... well most. The new ones in satin also have nitro finish which helps with resignate more. Both good guitars but I'd go with the new one... pickups sound better and would cost at least $400 to replace in old model...
@arash123salam7 жыл бұрын
how much r these things?
@raze10127 жыл бұрын
$2000, and they use some parts that are made in Korea, or at least on their Korean made guitars.
@davearooney7 жыл бұрын
I think the CE is USA made, not korean. It's a bolt-on, hence the lower cost from the other PRS models.
@Robstafarian7 жыл бұрын
The CE uses some SE series Korean hardware, as do the S2 series models.
@davearooney7 жыл бұрын
***** Incorrect - the CE is all USA. It's basically a Custom with a bolt-on.
@Robstafarian7 жыл бұрын
David Case The bridge specification for the CE is the same as that of the S2 Custom 24, which is known to have the same bridge as the SE Custom 24.

so they sound different huh?
@geraldelsbree99997 жыл бұрын
And I have owned Godin guitars they are great for the money I would put them up against any USA Gibson or Fender unless it's a vintage reissue or custom shop of course but prs s2 line and core line kill all guitars I own 8 of them and can't wait to order my McCarthy 594 single cut.

The new $1500 + PRS 'beater' guitar is something that is expected from PRS and those that support them. They turn my stomach.
