PRS HX Amp Demo Jimi Hendrix Little Wing by Simon McBride

Had the pleasure of doing a demo of this wonderful amp from ‪@prsguitars‬ ‪@PRSGuitarsEurope‬
I thought I might as well play some Hendrix.
Lots of clarity and precise top end in this amp without sounding harsh.

Before he joined Deep Purple I have never heard of Simon. It’s unbelievable how many outstanding musicians there are and nobody knows them. Now he gets the attention he deserves !!

He’s been around for at the very least 10 yrs. I think people thought of him as a blues player but he’s more rock/ blues. Now he’s known as u know due to DP.

I thought the same thing….I think I t’s the bending? Man, I thought PRS making a strat was kind of redundant but this does sound amazing. It’s funny, when he used the pickup switch, the bridge position didn’t sound much different IMHO. I wonder what low wattage Marshall is similar to this tonally. This guy is a beast! I know I’d sound like hot garbage with this set up.

This is the best version of this song that I ever heard and I am including Hendrix Tone, taste, and talent make this the best. What a player!!!!! The guitar and amp are huge to this cover. None better!!!!

All I can say is that is far and away the best version of little wing I’ve ever heard . Incredible touch and control amazing musical sensibilities and oh hey PRS - The tone was really really good as well !

This should have a million views... incredible playing! Feeling, dynamic, tone, it is all there, even some very decent speed licks. Simon really knows to play the guitar. And yes, the Silver Sky is just a great guitar, but SImon proves: A good player can make any guitar sound great.

Very melodic playing using intensity at the right moments. It's truly an emotional journey or musical story telling at its finest listening to this. Saw him on a KZbin video playing live with Deep Purple and immediately he caught my eye in the way he approached their songs. Respectful to the originals but adding his own intensity and flavour. They seem like a new revitalized band!!!!!!!!!
