Those Brilliance containers have been my go-to storage solution for about 5 years now. I bought 5 in the middle size and 5 in the larger, and that's all I've needed. Not one has broken and the seals are all solid.

I was stunned to see prices. Once upon a time we used Tupperware, but pieces cracked and some lost flexibility. We settled on the Pyrex and Anchor Hocking glass and never looked back. Tempered glass doesn’t scratch and it’s fairly rugged. Only issue was lids cracking after a few years use, but replacement lids easily available online. $220 for a set of Caraway is targeted for the one-percent.

My caraway skillet is scratched even though I’m very careful and don’t use metal utensils. So the same would happen with these I’m sure. And I hate to have a hard time opening a container like this. Glass is always the way to go when at home. When packing lunches I use stainless containers with plastic lids. I really don’t like plastic. Thanks for the review

To clarify, these are glass but they're coated in a sand-based ceramic material. These could scratch but since you're not cooking in them, the chances are much lower.

What stainless containers do you use?

I'll stick to my Ikea 365 snap containers, they stack/nest, have replaceable gaskets, they securely stack in my fridge or shelf, are air tight. I use them for everything - pantry, fridge, freezer.

This is likely the best in the market, but boy, it's way beyond most people's budget. Great review!

Good review. I laughed a little about your comments on how if you break the seal, while it is full of liquid, holding it upside down... then the contents go everywhere. Can you point me to the containers that you can open upside down where they warp gravity and keep all the liquid inside?
@PrudentReviews4 ай бұрын
My point there was that the seal can break. Many other containers have latches so the risk of the lid popping off is almost zero.

I will stick to my Pyrex. I like being able to see all around the container to make sure I see any spoilage prior to heating. I just don't see any advantage to these. And that price! 😮

I've had Rubbermaid Brilliance shed plastic splinters from the lids during removal. They were sharp enough to pierce my fingers. They can be etched by lemon juice and are not air tight.

I'd like to see a glass set that is stackable similar to Tupperware. That's my biggest gripe with glass containers.

Can you review the 'Luvele' Glass Vacuum containers (and their portable rechargeable vacuum seal pumps too)? They also have stainless steel lids, so no plastic anywhere.

7 months later and the set is up to $305, no way inflation moves that fast.

How do these hold up to thermal shock? Like if I were to take it from the fridge right to the microwave, would it crack?

@@JustAFellowTruthSeeker Plenty of glass options for much, much less. Rubbermaid Brilliance Glass, Snapware, IKEA, Pyrex, etc. Home Goods has shelves full of generic but interchangeable Borosilicate glass storage containers going for around $5 a piece. All of which can also store liquids.

5 pieces of tupperware for $245 is insane. That's $50 per piece. You can buy a 30 piece non-toxic set of pyrex for $30. These sets look nice, but one usually needs more than 2 of each size... like 3 of each size should be what you get and that should be only $100 and you only give 1 of the large for the set, and it should come with a bunch of small sizes too.

Wow very nice looking storage but not very budget friendly for most people. I need the dupe police 😂.
