Victor Paringaux natural talent exists, but without dedication and hard work which is demonstrated by natalie, you cannot get anywhere. You cannot be dependant on natural "talent". I've heard concert pianists play this... Poorly. For 11 years old she handles the piece like a profession. Not quite up to Jeno Jando's version (which to me us the gold standard for performing Opus129) but this young lady handles it well. Keep up your practicing and work. I hope to hear you on the major concert stages in the future.

@JohnWilliamGibson8 жыл бұрын
+Michelle Kai I'm sorry, but what country are you from? I was merely expressing my opinion of her performance. She performed the piece remarkably well for one so young, though I did feel she was rushing it a bit. Natalie is a brilliant, up and coming, concert performer. I was only pointing out that she has a ways to go before she reaches the heights she obviously wishes to obtain. In the United States of America, we have the right to express our opinions, informed or not. I was only expressing my opinion. And who setup you up to be the censor of other people's opinions. Personally, I couldn't perform the piece as well as she did, I'm at best a rank amateur. But I can have opinions. Most music critiques are usually the the worst performers,which is why they are critics. Natalie was 11 at the time of this performance. Now that's she's a bit older, I'm sure her pacing is much better now. "Rage" was composed by a 25-26?year old Beethoven. He was 50 when he numbered it.
@JohnWilliamGibson8 жыл бұрын
+Michelle Kai one last word, Natalie is brilliant with Chopin, whose work requires great finger work. I've listened to her later work, particularly her competition work. I was so impressed that i wrote to the recording studio Naxos that they should sigh her as soon as possible. So get off your high horse and read what I actually wrote. Young performers need criticisms in order to either grow or slink away in fear. She'll be up there yet. I expect great things from Natalie.

Fantastique! IMHO and to my very personal taste, absolutely fantastic rendering. Personally I don't think that Beethoven had in mind to have played this work at the velocity that has been the usual standard since long time ago, which has converted it in a kind of tour de force for virtuosi, but in here Mlle. Schwamova not only gets through that challenge brilliantly, really brilliantly IMHO, but still even much more she, differently from some renowned pianists, keeps, or rescues, or makes present, the spirit of Beethoven's music; with other renderings one could say that it is an étude of Lizt, some renderings make it to sound like another Hungarian Rhapsody, in other cases it is played (too) much in a Mozartian way, but the rendering of Mademoiselle makes me to be hearing, from the beginning to end, Beethoven, Beethoven and nothing else than Beethoven at whichever velocity it is played.I am very thankful, very much so, for having had the chance to listen to this.

Kissin is at about the same tempo and maybe just slightly faster. I've taught this piece for several decades and the tempo is fine. It has a wonderful "rage" to it.

Soberbia interpretación. Felicitaciones!!!
