In my opinion, this is the best performance of Chopin's polonaise op 53. I listened to this polonaise played by Pollini back in 2019, but still distanced myself from classical piano. Of course, I had heard parts of very common pieces such as Fur Elise, Turkish March, Fantasie Impromptu, etc., but I remember being enthralled with the polonaise the first time I heard it. Ever since 2022, I started getting interested in classical piano and listening to more and more of it. Last year I started listening to Natalie Schwamova's playing, which has led to an even greater appreciation of classical music for me. She does fantastic bringing out the "Heroic quality" of the piece. Bravissimo!🎹🎹🎵

I have heard this piece many, many times with all the greats, and it must be one of the hardest ever. If the balance is off by even a tiny bit, the impression is ruined. Even Horowitz, who played it for many decades, sometimes destroys it by thundering away with the left hand. This is perfectly balanced and crystal clear - bravo!

I keep listening to more and more masters play this piece and you still seem the best, because you are one of the few who can maintain the lyrical quality of Chopin throughout most of this great work. Again, congratulations on mastering a masterpiece and making it look relatively easy. Protect your art and person, it is rare for such greatness to go unfettered. The world is often cruel to the best more than others. Be very skeptical of most things, and maintain your harmony with the great composers. I would like to hear you do your magic to Debussy especially his "Images."
