It touched my heart deeply. You seldom hear a Chopin played in such a friendly, warm-hearted manner without any vanity. Blue sound. Wonderful colors.

The ingenuity of this piece is congenially worked out, here Chopin lets us look very deeply into himself.

This is a exquisite performance! I've listened to dozens of recordings and this still remains one of my very favourites. In fact, this was the one performance that made me fall in love with this, at first glance, obscure piece. She's got a musicality that is extremely rare. I would almost say that it's one of the most natural playings I've ever heard. Her tone is unbelievably warm. When she plays, the piano sings. In this piece she is telling a compelling story while maintaining a dreamy atmosphere. Martha Argerich gave her very high points at the Chopin competition in 2015 (much higher than Kate Liu who won the third prize) , Phillipe Entremont gave her the highest possible points (same as Charles Richard Hamlin who won the second prize) . I thought it was really unfair that she didn't pass to the second round. This recording proves her to be a Chopin interpreter at the highest level. Never give up!

Nathalie is one of the blessed daughters of Muse, and that's why she can produce music with a flawless technique. Now, it is true that her body is not, as yet, as mature so as to convey the intense "juggernaut of passions" of an older pianist like V. Horowitz. But this is true for most gifted people, because Mozart produced his best master works but later on in his life (late twenties and early thirties). The greater the talent the more times and efforts it would take to blossom and mature to its full potency. Concerning the din-noise of fame, success and the distraction of the social media, as opposed to the blissful silence of Former Times in Solitude, countless budding geniuses are daily spoiled by the winds of hyperbole praises and eye-rolling adjectives, which, more likely, could explain why prodigy children may fall short to our high expectations. Later on their God-given talent could become commonplace, and the heavenly gifts of precocity, so highly praised, are thus ruined by the rusty hands of Mammon the god of money. Sometimes they are sacrificed on the altar of Moloch, the god of Nihilism (meaninglessness). The Golden Era of the Technical Pianist is Over, but Music, being timeless and for eternity, will live forever in our heart and soul. If a pianist can recreate Music on a piece of wood, then, we are fortunate to witness a miracle, a new child is born, no less extraordinary than the life of a prophet or a great philosopher. All my best Nathalie and your fans!
