Great stuff. Prusa has changes the fan mount so that new part is obsolete. but please keep more of those coming! I just got my mini as my first printer and your contact is just top notch

Thanks, I have a video on my printer design ready to post but I broke the audio. Since I am going through 1st grade, and high-school again it has been harder to get stuff ready. Ha ha ha I also took the latest mini step file for the parts cooling fan and modified to fit on a Hermes and Mosquito, so far the results are great.

Nice video and straight to the point. On the first two mods you showed how the wires run now vs how they were stock. But on the third mod you just showed the empty box with new cover. Maybe could of shown how the wires are coming out of it with the new cover?

Any comment from Prusa or incorporation of any of these mods as allegedly Prusa is always seeking to improve its printers? The 'T nut' issue is a shocker that needs fixing asap.

I have been ultra busy making and shipping orders so I have not caught up on reading anything from the Prusa forums. If they are testing mods in their farm I would expect it to be something of their own design and not just a direct use of these mods.

Thanks for breaking it, I learned a ton fixing it and that all helps as I continue to develop my own printer.

@@Johns3DPrintingCorner And you got it again. Maybe I shouldn't be printing things that are too difficult? LOL

John since you have your mini apart can you see how hard it is to realign the y axis extrusions? I just got mine yesterday and it won't sit flat on a table. In planning to investigate it tonight though.
@Johns3DPrintingCorner4 жыл бұрын
Did you get it sorted? My best guess is to take the extrusion screws loose and place it on a nice flat surface, piece of glass for example. Press it level again and then tighten the bolts. Let us know what you figured out.

Yup that's what I did. Just a little shifted from shipping. They were pretty rough on there little guy. Am impressed with the print quality.

i wonder why john doesnt have the prusa in an enclosure. does it not produce fumes and particulates while printing?

Not really shown but I use filament dryers on my machines that print 24/7, along with filtration and venting. When I make a video I take the printer out of the enclosed areas. It is really interesting to notice in my area of the country how quickly PETG can start to string if I do not use dryers. I posted a quick example on my instagram account - instagram.com/p/B7ev1ViF_KD/?

Thanks for responding. Would you be willing to make a vid on your filtration and venting setup? thanks again.
