Dude seriously i know its your car and your build but please next time, remove the pan its not hard and takes no time at all. Leaving shavings in there will also be picked up by the screen in the pickup and will get stuck in that and not circulated into the filter, aslo not sure how hondas work but in my other car (Toyota 5VZ) them shavings would go through the oil pump first before the filter and thats just bad things happening 😂, just saying dude Just a bad idea all round. Yeah, I'm sorry, but this guy is pretty far from knowledgeable, this is definitely one of the worst ways I've ever seen a turbo installed, mostly cuz so much is wrong, from the other comments it sounds like he ended up blowing up the engine from doing this, which doesn't surprise me one bit, thinking you can just throw a turbo on a stock block with stock internals is about as silly as thinking you can just add nitrous to a stock engine and think it'll be just fine, the proper way to do this would have been pulling the engine out and at the very least, doing something like stacking head gaskets to lower the compression ratio, and putting in aftermarket connecting rods, if not aftermarket pistons as well, because this engine is meant to be a relatively weak econobox designed to get you the best gas mileage, not power, it would have made so much more sense to start with an Si because at least that engine is meant to produce some power an not just get you as far as possible on a tank of gas, everyone thinks these R18s can be modded to make power because they have i-vtec , but the i-vtec system in this engine is nothing at all like the system in the k20a engine lol
@BulliKid Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Yes it was my first ever turbo budget build. I did bend a rod on cylinder 1 after 8k miles. You are right with what you said if you want to do a proper turbo build. From what I see you drilled a hole towards the top of your oil pan where no oil is out. You should of drilled at the bottom side of the pan where oil sits at and that would submerge your oil line in oil at all times. I think you're gonna starve that turbo of oil with that line in the top of your oil pan. Oil will get up there maybe when you take a curve or sharp turns but on a straight away all the oil is at the BOTTOM of the pan. At least that's what it looks like to me in this video. I hope it turned out good for ya buddy.👍

I saw you on Mobsquad or idk their names, anyway I saw you in the comments being disappointed about it being slow, with your experience, do you think it’s slow? I want to turbo mine with the Tsi kit.
@BulliKid Жыл бұрын
It’s faster then stock…. But it wasnt fast enough to even beat some stock sport cars like a WRX, gti , ect it was totally worth it tho. I had the best joy with the turbo r18.

@@BulliKid if you were to put a catalytic converter on would you have to do some modifications to the OEM exhaust system? And how would you go about hooking the O2 sensor back on it?
@BulliKid3 жыл бұрын
You would need a aftermarket converter and a o2 sensor extensor.

All those FORUM boys echoing that the Ebay Turbo Kit doesn't work. LOL.

Most people doing eBay kits are missing parts or not running tunes. I can see where the reputation comes in.

Hey man I have a 2015 civic exl, you and I both have 1.8L engines and the engine bays are pretty much the same. I’ve been looking for a turbo kit for mine and think the one u used will work but it says in the description on eBay that it’s only for 06-11 civics. Do u think it’ll work for mine?
@BulliKid2 жыл бұрын
It will work. Intercooler will have have to be custom piping.
@iancampbell15263 жыл бұрын
Hey bro do you think this same application would work on the R20. Because I'm looking around for a kit and not seeing any. The turbo kit you have in the link below does it has oil feed and oil drain lines and fittings. By the way great video
@BulliKid3 жыл бұрын
Should work in theory. Depends if the head exhaust manifolds are the same size and bolt up together. The kit does not come with everything. What you see pictures is what you get with the kit. You have to buy few things to make it a functioning kit.

Probably but intercooler piping would have to be custom and exhaust routing. I’m not sure if there is a tuning solution for your vehicle and that is a big part of it.

Hey im reaching out because i wanna fix up my 2008 Honda Civic LX with 54,000 miles with an intake and stuff but some people have said adding a turbo will blow my little engine up. If any recommendations of intakes and headers would be awesome. Thank you so much.
@BulliKid3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for reaching out. Intake and header won’t do much. It will just sound better. I don’t have any companies in mind but obviously you get what you pay for as far as fitment and finish. A turbo can possibly make your engine blow but all depends on how much boost you run and the tune. So far mine is at 5k miles and I drive it hard every day.
