I think the final answer should be: Fmax = (μ_k + μ_s) (m_1 + m_2) g

Certainly this is not hard but with so many degrees of freedom in the system I can't say how many mistakes are bound to occur, moreover there are so many simplifications that this can only help you solve a few textbooks problems, of course I don't mean it's not valuable to learn on the contrary the value is to develop an understanding of how to simplify very complex systems.

If base of mass 2 has a slope of theta, you also can say that a1=a2, or a1=a2*cos(theta)? I have that question?

@@agustinmiranda3989 I believe he goofed. I believe the correct answer should be Fmax=(m1+m2)(ustat+ukin)g

I don’t understand what you people mean though. He literally said that he forgot μs and added it at the end of the vid. And yeah you guys are right, the simplified answer should be (m1+m2)(μs+μk)g, but the answer he got what very much correct. Unsimplified answer does not mean incorrect.

I’m curious is he writing backwards for us to see it the right way? And if so how is it so accurate?

Probably just flipped the video horizontally during editing, hence why he's writing with his left hand in the video.
