Less is more! I like it however, for most of pilots I know, remove the Marker Beacons, Remove ADF, Remove DME features....this video had all of that stuff that essentially is not used

Marker, ADF, and for a lot of us, NAV too. GPS only baby! I loathe having buttons that don't do anything. Make them softkeys - they already are.

But...You can rename ADF and DME to say, MON 1 and MON 2 should you own Avidyne's IFD systems. Any audio you want to switch on and off can be connected to the ADF and DME inputs and then labeled accordingly.

@@hardy_bmMarker is optional and there are only 2 pushbuttons for switched inputs, Nav 1 and Nav 2.

So what is missing on the C compared to the 450B?

Both have IntelliAudio but the PMA450B can place Com 1 and Com 2 in 9 unique positions while the PMA450C places Com 1 at the 10 o’clock position and Com 2 is placed at the 2 o’clock position. The PMA450C does not have flightmate or the count down/up timer. Pretty much everything else is the same

Can this replace an old audio panel (like Bendix King KA-134) as well and in that case what's the average installation cost?

The KA-134 does not have a built-in intercom so a complete new harness is required

When you're hearing things at your 2 and 10, is that you hear one thing at your 10 and another at your 2. That seems distracting.

Actually, trying to listen to two radio coms at the same time is all but impossible. Invariably pilots either ask for a temp frequency change or they turn down the radio they don’t want to hear, risking a missing call from ATC. IntelliAudio makes paying attention to the radio that is important at any instant in time, really solves this problem.
