Cheap hdmi ps2 adapters are hit and miss so I wouldn’t risk it and buy the upscalers from aliexpress. Mcbazel is also sold on aliexpress.

I'll stick to my original Sony RGB scart cable. In my opinion its still unbeatable (on a good tv ofcourse). Same with the ps1. They're quite expensive these days, but its worth it.

Do not buy this cable if you have a PAL console. The top and bottum are cut off. I had contact with levelhike, and they told me this is a fault in the cable.

How much was your image cut off on the bottom and the top? I didn't notice this on my LevelHike on an OG PS2 (PAL). Do you have an OG or Slim PS2? Did the company specify if this is an issue with new/older batch of the LevelHikes? Thank you for watching the video and for leaving a comment too 👍😁

@@QuesterMage Hi, i had a phat ps2, the image was cut of i think about 2-3 cm. When i loaded the hd loader for my games, i did not see the buttons at the bottom. Also in UlauchELF, i did not see the UlauchELF name in the top right, and only saw a tiny bit of the red letters at the top and bottom.

@ZanikMuts Thanks for replying 👍😄🏆 I use my PS2 as stock. Have you tried to play the games with the PS2 as stock? This is weird, as I said I don't have this issue with games at 50hz or 60hz on my OG PAL PS2. Thanks again for watching the video and replying too 👍😁

@ZanikMuts I have to apologise I thought your comment was for my PORTTA HDMI adapter for PS2 video. Too many videos and comments to keep track of 😅 You are absolutely correct with the image being cropped and missing part of the image above/below the screen for 50hz games (most games in the PAL region). As I mentioned in the video in the things I dislike, for 50hz games on a PAL PS2 the LevelHike does NOT display the whole image. The top and/or bottom of the image is outside the screen with not way to fix this 😓 It only displays the whole image on 60hz games. It seems that this adapter was made with only NTSC PS2's in mind 😒... This is definitely a massive issue for anyone buying this adapter to play 50hz games. Thanks again for your comment and replies 👍😁. Sorry that I thought that we were discussing another adapter in another video ☺️.

In my opinion, it kind of depends... If you just want to play PAL PS2 games then maybe not. As I mentioned 50hz games do not display properly and most PAL games are 50hz. I use this adapter ALL THE TIME to play PS1 games on a PS2 and to capture video content from the PS2 for the channel. I have a video about the PS2 PORTTA HDMI adapter on the channel which is my go to adapter to just play PS2 games. Not perfect but 50hz and 60hz games display properly. There are apparently better options but they all seem very expensive, so I haven't tested those 🤣 I hope that helps 😆 Thanks for watching the video and commenting too 👍😁

RGB is better then Y Pb Pr, but it work with RGB scart cable and not with HDMI adapters. Also all PAL games are in 50Hz but with better resolution and colour palette, only TR Legends - Anniversary - Underworld are PAL 60Hz. All other PAL games just switch the signal to NTSC

This cable ist complete garbage for PAL Games IT Cuts the Screen / Zoom to much the Screen because IT use alayws 480i Not 576i from PAL games
