You can do this with a samsung galaxy S series phone/tablet. All yiu need is a good wifi connection. Hope this help you out.

@@heh9728 i plug my phone to the ps3 usb. Thats how it work. But you need to turn media server on both the ps3 and device. Another thing too is probably the files you want to upload are not compatible with the ps3.

I have an LG K7. Where is my nearby devices option? I looked under Networks and it only lists USB tethering or Mobil Hotspot. Both of those do not allow me to drag files from my phone. I cannot find a nearby devices option in my phone and a Google search is not givong me the answer I seek.

Boneset The Viridescent Witch you can also try WiFi direct.. since youre basically using your WiFi as the bridge between both, your phone, and playstation. your phone should have a near by devices option.

what kind of file are you trying to move onto your PlayStation? music, video, or photo?

+Dominik Channel if it's a video file you have to find your device under the video category. once you sublect your device the video files will be able to be selected. If you want to move a photo or music same goes. If your under photos and your trying to select a video it won't work. these "files" your trying to move over need to be put in a certain place for the ps3 to recognize them.
