HEY many of u must be still having the audio problem ........... connect the older av inputs ( that comes with the ps3 ) and then set the sound settings to AV INPUT !! IT WILL WORK !!

No no, it says that if the sound audio is compatible (somewhere around those lines) then it may/ might damage the speakers. But that’s only if! You’re welcome! :D

Listen...I have a 40 GB ps3..its been working fine for over 3 years now!!...And i im playiing my ps3 through a HDMI cable..and the problem is that NO SOUND Comes out at all!!...I mean no sound, No tick-tocks when u surf through the XMB, no sound when u start the ps3..Nothing, not even while playing a game!!...Can you please tell me what the problem is!!

@TheSamay17 Well, it turns out that the PS3 that O got was defective, so I had to get a new one. Not sure what to say about your problem though.

Thanks, Black ops audio didn't work and this fixed. I thought it was a data problem and firstly deleted the game saves and utility though..

that didnt work. there is absolutely no sound coming from my ps3 what so ever. even after i disable 5:1 Dolby something or other. it just doesnt work for me.
