I've had mine a year as well, still going strong. I'm waiting for the back buttons on the PS5 but haven't been released yet

I just didnt need L3 R3 so no need to solder, I only really use 2 buttons anyways X and O. I've a new video on digital triggers, I've added them along with the back buttons 👍

I got the dawn 2.0 remap kit with trigger stops. It only has the 2 back button though I think is a fair trade since most of the reviews I watch on this kit people only use the bottom two paddles. Waiting for it to arrive can't wait to install. Great video ! Great 👌

I've just did a video on the 2.0 kit yesterday, well the install part anyways. My plan is to give it a few days then finish the video off after I've tried and tested it. So far its ideal for me, as I mentioned I only use the 2 buttons, 4 is just a waste for me

Was looking at a modded controller but settled for Kontrol Freeks instead, funnily enough the same as yours, FPS freek galaxy which arrived today! Currently have both attached but feel i don't feel the need for any on the L3 stick, (the same set up i used when using Kontrol freeks about 5 years ago), i'm assuming you have the high rise version on the R3 button. Planning to use with both attached today, Just the high rise version on R3 tomorrow, and then maybe just the low rise version on R3 on a third day, assess what works best for me. Assuming it'l turn out to be the same version as yours. Only used for 2hrs so far, but liking them so far, especially as you can use the higher sensitivity without it affecting accuracy much at all. Would be worth making a video on a review of the modded controller / kontrol freeks, a suggestion for a future video

With me having small hands the high stick just felt to high got me, so I stuck the lower stick on the R3 for my aim, not sure if it helps or not I'd say I'm a pretty accurate player anyways! Playing without one on the stick feels weird now though, I can still play just with me being so used to it feels weird. Like when I first started using this back button mod it feels so wrong, second day I tried a new style and just used one back button to get used to it first, then use two. My forearm was bloody killing from pressing the back button, I must have been using a muscle I've never used before 😂 Are you planning on going for the back button kit or just sticking with the extended thumb grips?

@@CraigsChannel After watching this video, I came across the Fps dominator, which seems interesting especially as you don't need to open up the controller, which I prefer (and makes sense how people shoot me sometimes with no recoil!) Also the PlayStation back buttons attachment looks great, but seems out of stock everywhere and inflated prices on ebay etc. Would prefer that, to aid my jump shots in warzone, hopefully without incurring any of your forearm pain! Lol

I know this comment might be a little bit late but I'm hoping you will see and reply the little copper Square touchpad can I cut it off and set it up manually because I'm not really a big fan of it and great video keep up the great work thank you for the help

You can either cut it off or trim it down to a tiny square, I just cut it off and put it into remap mode manually. When you cut the foil down it just means you've got less chance of enabling it

I've fitted quite a few kits for people now and it's a 50/50 some want it cut off and others just trimmed down, either way it's better than the full size as you might accidentally go into remap mode

If you do it the way I do it no need for tweezers, but if you feel more comfortable with them, use what ever works best for you. I think he'll be over the moon with it, just needs a couple of weeks to get used to the buttons on the back, it feels so wrong and weird at first, now it's like riding a bike haha

Yeah haha, 2-3 weeks should be enough! My advice is use it as much as possible, even for navigating through the menu screens, just dont take your finger off the analog stick and it'll come to you, or him

Hi, you can either cut the foil down in size so its smaller and harder to touch with your finger or you can chop the wire off for the touch foil and just enter remap mode manually by pressing X down on the Dpad R1 L1

Yeah it'll still work, I cut mine off as sometimes it was going into remap mode randomly. Extremerate even say if you'd rather do it manually just cut it

Hi Craig I recently bought the remap kit and it’s been working fine but now all of a sudden it keeps going into remap mode by itself and I took the touch sensor out when I assembled the controller do you have any advice?

I cut that touch sensor off, I cut the wire as short as possible. Have you tried doing that? Or did you just cut the sensor on the end

Yeah you can have the clicky and this kit, I don't think they're called tactile on the PS4 though just Clikcy but could be wrong

Hi Craig. I see the box lid has a 3 on it. What does this mean.? My local charity shop has about a dozen of these on a shelf but it has a 2 on the box.

I think each kit they do has a different number, 2 might be the light mod kit, which means your buttons glow up! It wont be the back button mod kit, maybes open a box next time your in and have a look to see what kit it is?

there might be a little black thing on the port that you need to flip down onto the ribbon after you set it in there, that was the problem for me

Do the conteller still light up, the light bar? Have you made sure the ribbon cable is aligned with the board?

It comes with double sided sticky tape on it which you peel off, then it stays in place 👍

@@harrysmith7046 I cut the wire off, as mine was doing the same. Its the remap wire with the piece of tin foil on the end, either cut down the size of the foil and try that, or just cut the wire off totally

I'm more than happy with the v1 and my Clicky digital triggers. Loads of people have bought the Clicky now and said they love the way you don't have to press the trigger all the way down, I hate playing CoD without them feels so weird

Yeah the orange one. Only thing I can say is open it again, make sure that cables lined up then test it again. No idea why L3 things it's L2, I've honestly never heard that before. You didn't do any soldering did you?

It sounds like you havent connected the ribbon cable from the back of the controller to the main board, that'll stop it charging and the light bar not coming on

Has it only done this since the mod kit? Was it working before hand? If its since the kit, only thing I could suggest is take the ribbon from the kit out and try putting it back in again or take the ribbon out, try it without it, see if either of them work. You could also remove the battery cable and refit it, see if that does anything. Is it like a slow flashing or fash? I've never had that issue before, mine just glows orange on charge

Craig's Channel is the ribbon the white and blue long one ? I see that the chip on that is a bit damaged but yeah it was working fine before the mod , I’ll try those methods now

The long one for the light bar, I dont think itll be that one as you're getting light, just flashing. Try disconnecting the battery first then putting it back and press the PS button. You're the first to have an issue so if you figure out what's up, you could be other peoples hero helping them 😂 Nothing much can go wrong with these, just gotta be careful with the wires as they're small and fragile

Help please. Did this stupid controller and now my charge light won't work, bottom buttons can't be used and I'm stuck in remap mode. I followed perfectly and still I'm fucked. Now it refuses to go into mapping mode so knowing if these buttons work is impossible. Such a joke.

If your charge light won't work it sounds like you haven't connected the ribbon cable correctly

No matter how many times i do this without a solder and it doesnt work or its always an issue taken it down 3 times and finally cut the tin foil by accident thinking i only needed it to remap the touch pad all this time wasted following everything step by step fuck opening a controller it only brings problems
