Hi.. My ps4 pro crashed immediately with error ce-34878-0 after any game was started.. i tried everything to fix it and without a success so i tried to bake it in oven before put in garbage and you know what.. it's not crashing anymore for now.. if this fixed the problem then guy in video is a fu*king genius.. Now will test and hope to not see that blue screen. Cheers

@@lino9168 worked for me but you must prepare a thermal paste and new thermal pads 1mm ticknes. And do not overcook it.. Try. Preheat the oven to 360° F (182° C), and then place the motherboard inside once it's ready. Bake at that temperature for 10 minutes, then gently remove the motherboard and let dry for around 30 min. I did 15-20min but it was too much it can start burn plastic

I am new to PS4 (just bought on 14 Nov 2020) and I am getting this error past 1 week. I have tried everything like rebuild data, Full initialize, restore license, lower video output, re-sign in, re-starting. everything. after this I come to now that this pandemic is happening all over the world. Well, I did the reflow, and guess what... it worked 🎉! Now my old fat PS4 is working like clockwork. However, after a bit of research, I made some adjustments to the oven temperature and time. I preheated the oven to 260°C (500°F) for 5 minutes and let the motherboard cool down for 30 minutes before reassembly. Why did I do that, you may be wondering? Well, as a commenter pointed out, a standard reflow requires temperatures higher than 180°C to work properly, with the ideal range being between 240°C to 260°C for a maximum of 5 minutes. I chose to go for the maximum temperature limit. Here's a note to keep in mind: if I had to do it again, I would set the temperature to 240°C for the same 5 minutes. This is because there's a piece made of plastic on the board, specifically the one that connects the power supply, which is not as heat resistant as the others. If exposed to more than 5 minutes of heat, it will start to change color (melt) 😅. Don't worry, it wasn't damaged, just a little shiny

‘I put the main board in the oven’ 😳 Hah, well done though. I had to take apart the PS4 Pro to try and make it sound less like a jet. Replaced the thermal pads and put on some new thermal paste. Was a bit unnerving, but luckily still worked by the end. Honestly the hardest part was getting the plastic case off at the beginning. Still sounded like a plane taking off unfortunately.

I've been trying every single method to fix that f... error, playing gow 4 freezes at the very beginning and it is just with that game very frustrating , I even replaced the thermal paste for liquid metal and copper shims on the ram chips instead of thermal pads, temps were great the ps4 was super silent but the same error was appearing with gow, I Finally heard that the joints between the rams and the motherboard sometimes could be not making a good contact and some games need acces to different parts of the ram or using a lot of ram ... having said that if rams are badly soldered from manufacturing this error is likely to happen at some point. Applying controlled heat as you did on the entire motherboard could resolder those bad joints and once and for all fix this error. That's the theory and for me this is the last solution I'm going to try before giving me up 😂 , I'll keep you updated when I bake my MB ,👨‍🍳🥧

Hi. JA. Ich habs komplett zerlegt wie im video zu sehen und hab ich die battery entfernt! Ich glaub ich habs auf 160 grad gestellt und 20 min gebacken. Fang aber erstmal mit 120 grad an um sicher zu sein das nix schilzt...Denk aber dran das nur viel Hitze was aendern kann weil wenn es eine kalte loetstelle ist dann benoetigst do eine bestimmte hitze um es wieder zu reparieren. Meine PS4 laeuft seitdem ohne Fehler.

I was really able to fix it. I dissembled everything and put the Platine in the oven around 180 degree Celsius for around 20 minutes. It worked till I got a Xbox series s for my son. haven't touched the PS4 Pro for some time.

i have the same issue with my games. for me it doesnt even go right into the games. i click on them, then this thumbnail for the game wich is displayed before the actual game boots shows up and just after that it instantly crashes. my ps4 is useless to me now so i might actually be forced to tinker around with its hardware as well. hope i can make a miracle happen.

yo tenia el codigo cada 15min, no uso la lectora tengo el ultimo modelo de ps3-pro y ademas de que este modelo soluciono el problema del ruido a avion que lo hacian las anteriores, despues de 3 años y medio aprox comenzo a hacerlo. Conjuntamente que este error me lo estaba haciendo constantemente y muy seguido. Solucion: abrirla, cambiarle la pasta termica, cambiarle la pila (2032) y realizarle una completa limpieza (caso que la mia no estaba tan sucia como lo vi en otras, lo que si y para tener muy en cuenta la pasta termica estaba completamente seca. Hace una hora y media que le estoy dando palo y nada, nunca mas el error. Dato: el disco duro se lo cambie por un solido ni bien la compre. Lo del Horno no se lo hice, aclaro.

Hab die Ps4 slim. Hab mein ps4 Mainboard für 180grad in den Backofen geschoben. Für ca. 25 min. Hat leider nicht funktioniert krieg noch immer die Fehlermeldung. Bin am überlegen das kack mainboard nochmal auszubauen und nochmal in den Backofen zu schmeißen. Ich könnt heulen. Hab das Problem schon seit 2018.
