Extra bit here, i highly recommend replacing the thermal compound if you take it loose from the heatsink, dried thermal compound acts like a bridge between the apu and the heatsink allow the heat to expel into the heatsink, with that bridge broken, the heat will vent out inside the console and not be ejected properly increasing the chance of an overheat

Hi there, i have a question, is there a difference in fan size between ps4 slim and ps4 pro? I have ps4 slim cuh 2116b, and my fan is insanely loud, so after tons of researches i decided to give it a try and change it's fan. Only problem is that for this type of model separate fan costs about 55 bucks, when same fan for cuh2015 costs only 18 bucks. So i wonder is there any difference in sizes between those two?

You have a CUH-2115/CUH-2100 model PS4 Slim. You will have to either break the rivets off or approach the fan/disk drive from the other side of the console.

I opened the top and bottom cover of the ps4 slim, blew the dust out of the fan with air and put everything back together. I turned on the ps4, entered the game and the fan spins at the same speed, it does not accelerate. And before I cleaned it, when I was in a game, the fan would sometimes spin slower, sometimes faster, depending on where I am in the game, which is normal

That is because you need to do what I did in the video which is replace the thermal paste and more importantly blow out the dust from the heatsink

I know this is old but I wanted to say you should be replacing thermal paste and telling people about it. Just taking it off and putting it back on is a terrible idea. I appreciate the info but people really should replace the paste.
