Besides putting new thermo paste you also need to do a total cleaning inside like the fan heat sink and air vents.

I had same problem. Last week I replace the thermal paste with new Arctic MX-6 and changed all thermal pads with Arctic TP-3. Now my PS4 Pro is ultrasilent. I also made made sure my ps4 is in a open place for air to circulate properly. Make sure your PS4's tiny feets are intact. If some feets have broken raise it with some bluetack or buy new feets

Thermal paste and cleaning the fan radiator, these two worked for me. It will take 2 hours and lifetime of patience to get it done. My PS4 pro is silent now. Thanks. You should show how to remove power supply connectors and well.

For best results I would clean the heat sync, because where all the dust clogs up, it’ll still make the ps4 over heat therefore will need more thermal paste when you take it apart again

Good video. I sometimes wish more people online who complain about the PS4's "jet engine" noise would courageously take it upon themselves or have someone else disassemble to clean out their system and replace the thermal paste. I've read it so many times that people whose system starts getting loud would just decide to sell their PS4 and just buy a PS5. Obviously, if your PS4 started sounding loud in due time, what makes you think the PS5 won't do the same in a few months or a few years? By the way, I'm not saying they shouldn't buy a PS5, either. The PS5 is pretty cool in its own way. They just shouldn't "fix" their problem by selling one console, which technically still works and only needs a bit of deep cleaning, by buying another. To me, that's a waste of money.

I just replaced the Thermal paste and my Ps4 is now ultrasilent. Thank you for the Tutorial Edit: 1 Month Later it started again to be loud, but not like a jet animore. I hope it will stay there if not I need to get rid of this system. Then its time for a Ps5.

Also seen some people suggest replacing the thermal pads on the ram slots and HDMI chip which is something I will do on top of the thermal paste. My guess is the ram gets fairly hot as well and fails to dissipate heat to the metal plate above.

Nice vid. I don’t know if this makes sense or not but I would strongly recommend to get your hardware fixed by pro if you’re not 100% confident that you can do it yourself I just destroyed my ps4 controller, needs soldering now for a broken cable and for the sticks somewhere. Still figured I should at least try to fix my ps4 loud fan thingy. But if it brakes it’s worse than having it repaired, since you need to buy a new ps4. Just putting it out there.

Did you clean the heatsink’s radiator on its other side? If not, then it’s probably why it’s still getting hot. If it’s clogged with dust, the air coming from the fan won’t be able to blow through it making your fan spin faster/louder in an attempt to cool it down.
