Lol, my brothers PS4 Slim sounds like a Regular PHAT PS4 while my PS4 Pro sounds like the PS4 Slim. It’s either the fact that I have only 1 game which is Grand Theft Auto 5 while my brother has a lot of games or the fact that he is playing graphical games. Really not sure though. Just want to add: i have both the slim and the original ps4 and there is one item that is rarely mentioned that the slim has an advantage over the original ps4 and that is wireless networking. The ps4 slim can now connect to 5ghz wireless networks whereas the original ps4 can only connect to 2.4ghz wireless networks. Now this should not be an issue if you use LAN for your ps4 but for those who use wifi for their ps4 and has 5ghz networks they can definitely feel the difference in wireless performance. My original ps4 disconnects almost 2x as much as my slim one (i use wifi because im too lazy to lay out LAN cables throughout my house). Hope this helps some guys out there. Also it may not look at it on paper but the slim is way lighter than the original ps4 so if you travel alot and would like to bring ur ps4 along the slim is the way to go.

Never owned a Pro but my preference is about performance. Talk about 1080p @ 60FPS. In most cases PS4/Slim basically performs the same but differs from temperature and noise. Pro on the other side, once you update the version which gives a "Boost Mode" option, games are quite good as if you play nearly 60FPS in any other games (may vary). Pro is worth upgrading even without 4K HDR support. When you play games on the PS4 from "2013 - before the release of Pro", I'd say the Pro is legit.

I got a standard PS4 when it first came out, then in 2016 I got the PS4 Pro. I am really satisfied the Pro, it also helps that I have a 4K TV which can take full advantage of the Pro's hardware. If you have a 4K with HDR, I definetely recommend getting a Pro. You won't be disappointed.

I had the standard PS4 and upgraded to the Pro. I'm only using a 1080p TV but can honestly tell you I notice a difference with a select few games such as horizon zero dawn and The last of us remastered. The picture seems brighter, better fps (especially TLOU) and more crisp visuals. Loading times are slightly faster too. The console handles 4k video beautifully even though you don't get the full experience without the supported TV, still looks stunning.

unfortunately you have been under the influence of the placebo effect . The visual aren't crispier if you have a 1080p display , they are exactly the same , the brighter picture is also weird and probably just the same , loading times are probably cuz this is a new console and your old one is probably full of games and lastly the FPS which yes they are indeed more but other than that , everything else is the same . You can't see the difference on a 1080p monitor from 4k to 1080p unless the game is rendering in 4k but your monitor downscales it to fit your display .

I've a 1080P 110" projector/screen so upgraded from the PS4 to the PS4 Pro for supersampling as on the large screen, aliasing was significant. The supersampling and/or enhanced games are clean and, barring HDR, really do a decent job of looking 4K. Until I get a new projector, this was the best option for me and it's been excellent, very noticeable, especially as I use an XB1X on my 4K OLED. Good article!

You can throw a Samsung 850 Pro in there and get insanely fast loading times (for a ps4 indeed. Those are nothing compared to a computer's). The pro is so much better... was worth more pounds but so worth it...

I got PS4 Pro. I'm overall satisfied with it. 4k display is different to lower ones. My advice is take up PS4 Pro if you have a 4k TV display and have a budget for it. Otherwise get the original or slim. Upgrade from PS4 to Pro is not necessarily

(PC snob here) My room mate just upgraded to the PS5, and gave me his PS4. I have thoughts of swapping in a SSD and Jailbreaking it. I also want to enable it to dual boot with Linux as the Operating system. I think it will be a neat & cheap project. I would go crazy, if I can play my Steam library on it! It would also make a nice backup PC to have in the house.

I just bought the Pro 1TB console brand new for $299 and it's the last one they had at that particular game store as of May 2024 but I'm sure there's a few left out at different places for a reasonable price before they're all gone.I quit playing at the end of the 360's life so there's a ton games.2015-2024 I've never had the chance to play unless it was a dual release for both systems and they stopped doing that by the end of 2015.

Definitely going with original ps4. At certain stores the original ps4 is about $20 - $30 dollars cheaper than the slim. And as I, a 12 year old, don't have the christmas money to afford a pro, i see the origanal is the best option. Also the ps4 as mentioned in the video has an optional audio output.

I’ve had my normal PS4 for about a year now with no problems. The only reason I would consider upgrading my PS4 is when I want to completely switch over to a 4K entertainment system which I’m planning on doing by the end of this year or beginning of next year.
