It's amazing how you (Paul) can talk about complicated concepts and abstract ideas in a simple and easy-to-understand manner. Thank you so much, you helped with my physics homework :D

I like how simple the words are in these Lectures of yours Paul(good strong name) and I like how you keep it simple. I would like to state(with all due respect) the few details that I disagree with in the over all concept of how Light is connected to frequency through the orbits of electrons around the atom and the way I think the different energy states connects to Lights frequency's as well. I believe that the frequency of electromagnetic radiation of a glowing particle is linked to the number of orbits the electrons of an atom do while moving at the speed of light around the atom. I believe that what we call a massless particle such as Light does have a very tiny amount of mass to it. If this were not so we wouldn't see light bend due to gravity. I believe that these particles when moving in very small orbits at the speed of light gives us the solid feeling physical objects give us. Also when these particles get to a small enough orbit they begin to rub against their tail that's dragging behind as they orbit causing heat friction and in turn making the particle begin to glow or give off Light. So if the electron is at a red frequency of light then the electrons are at the orbit distance that is linked to that frequency(or number of orbits the electron makes to produce red light). And as the orbit distance decreases then the electrons frequency increases and there for the number of orbits the electrons do increases because I think the number of electron orbits is what gives us the electromagnetic radiation frequency of Light that we see. The lower the orbit, the higher the frequency, and the higher the orbit the lower the frequency and when the orbits get to a small enough distance where they begin to rub against their tail as it gets dragged behind, this is when the particles start to produce heat and then begin to glow or give off electromagnetic radiation. So Light is electromagnetic radiation that is coming from glowing particles and they expand out in waves linked to the particles orbit frequency. Light is not a particle and a wave, Light is electromagnetic waves coming from glowing particles.

The photon is not a wave, because the wave mechanism that requires the successive transformation of one form of energy into another does not work in a vacuum. The phasing of the electric field with the magnetic field as well as the lack of retroradiation prove that the wave mechanism does not work in a vacuum. The photon is an electromagnetic relief, with a periodic structure, that glides hydrodynamically through the vacuum, through the bosom of weightless matter, which materializes physical space. In the transverse and periodic structure of the photon, it is found that the propulsive electromagnetic force, (BIl), is in balance with the inertial force (m.a) at the level of each half-wave, determining the sliding with a uniform rectilinear speed with the speed C. It is also found that the electromagnetic power (U.I) is equal to the mechanical power (F.v).

You did good with this video but I still don't understand how it damages your cells. Like radiation from Atom's are particles breaking off from the atom and hitting your cells. Then that atom turns into a different particle. So how does Electromagnetic Radiation damage your cells? Do it vibrate them so fast they break apart. Or heat them and that all so makes them vibrate fast. From when I know the faster atoms vibrate the more heat they have. That is what heat is. Thank you.

5:30 If white is the reflection of all visible light, how is a mirror not white? Is it a reflection of all light including invisible light?
@juliawallis8685
@juliawallis8685 6 жыл бұрын
The mirror reflects the light that hits it. If an object is red then that object is reflecting red light and absorbing the other colors. When you look at its reflection in a mirror, you are seeing the red light that was reflected off the object and then reflected off the mirror.

What is meant with "the object is smaller than the wavelenght itself, so we cant see them"? So if visible light waves are traveling, they cannot interact with the objects because they are too small? How can a physical object be smaller than a wavelenght? These are two completely different things alltogether Please help

All so if it's the same as light just another wave and we have cameras to see light could they make a camera to see like radio waves then? I guess tune it in to the right wave to see it.

I'm really confused about "White" and "Black"... White is white because it reflects the spectrum... Why it doesn't look like a mirror then? And Black is Black because it absorbs all the spectrum... why it is not transparent?

I have some doubts on electromagnetic radiation, if a photon is a particle it must have some mass then if the photon is incident on the earth it means the mass of earth is increasing ,am I right?
@VillegasCar
@VillegasCar 5 жыл бұрын
A photon has no mass because it travels at speed of light of course. It can have energy and momentum but it has only a relativistic mass. So it can't give out mass because basically it hasn't any

@@khaleesi4210 Thanks. Very odd that I literally got this less than a week ago! I mean understood the whole spectrum being from low FQ radio to gamma radiation a scale of "light" of which we can see the small part. I have to be retarded. That's how I felt at least... Edit: "Light" = part of the electro magnetic waves we can see.
