Frame counter wasn't bugging out, the game was just falling out of vrr range. Anytime the frames dip below 48 (in case of the ps5) the frame counter will jump to maximum refresh rate.

Dragons Dogma made some huge improvements in general. I remember in the beginning no matter the GPU or CPU, once you were in the city your PC was bleeding. And when I tried it out again a few weeks ago it was almost 60FPS permanently. Which is still kinda low for my PC specs but its atl a normal totally fine playable framerate. And then I wonder why not just do it like that from the beginning lol. You see its very well possible

@@WayneFreeman-rt9mc It was patched on Halloween to be PS5 Pro enhanced. 4K with a 60fps target is the new mode, instead of 4K 30 fps. It feels much smoother, although in a turn-based game it's not strictly necessary.

It also feels more comfortable in the hand and has more of a premium build.

The upcoming Darktide will be 4k60 ray tracing on the pro and only 4k30 on the base and 4k 1440p which is a massive difference ❤

Massive for someone with a large 4k TV maybe. If you have a 1440p monitor then the ps5 will do just fine. Played a lot of hours on darktide on the series s at 40fps mode and it's still a great game.

​@@bdgrey Actually, you should care, you'll keep getting huge stutters and drops into the low 30s because of the lack of a meaningful CPU upgrade. The Ryzen 5 3600 which is the equivalent of the PS5 pro is already considered low tier by today standards. Slapping a 7800xt equivalent creates a huge bottleneck, you are not addressing CPU-related issues so whenever the CPU load maxes-out it'll start stuttering again. It really is basic knowledge.

the issue is without rt the light and shadows ruin the entire games graphics, and in balance with no rt once action starts happening past begining of the game the frames drop to 50s and if u use rt u get under 50s and it gets worse , sure is btter thhan beffore but it still sucks

Haters are gonna hate, especially the man-children who cannot afford this console, but even cpu bound games like Dragon's Dogma 2 work like a charm now! Imagine what can be achieved over the next four or so years this console stays relevant, even farther into the cross-gen period with the PS6, if it ends up being a thing! Been loving my Pro so far, I'm playing this game and FF VII Rebirth right now. And before we judge this console over compressed YT videos, remember, 4K 120hz VRR sets are the way to go with this console. My mini-LED is incredible.

Not everyone cares about having the best graphics and fps , they are calling 70% more power and new rdna3 architecture and pssr a small upgrade is hilarious . If anything the cpu got a minor boost but gpu wise this is the biggest jump in performance any pro system has ever gotten. Just wait and see what it'll do when it's not a cpu bound game. I have a high end pc and tv both 2k+ and the pro is way worth it lmao 4k gaming is not cheap but they wanted to push 4k so bad on consoles for these braindead ppl who don't know anything about hardware or prices of hardware.

But Dragon's dogma 2 requires computing power, from CPU. Because it deals with the AI of pawns, NPCs and monsters who are always alive and interacting with each other. PS5 Pro hardly upgrades its CPU it should be bottlenecked tbh
