Thanks! Now it all makes sense what the shelling and weird silver and white things are for! I got the SSD to work without it, but I took it out and put in these other stuff for it. Now I'm truly reason for those storage hungry games like Street Fighter 6, KOF XV, GTAV and Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart as well as others like Sonic X Shadow Generations and Astro Bot! Got a 4TB SSD on Prime Day and it should last for sometime and I will fit many games (Mostly smaller games and the PS1, PS2 and PSP Classics games). I got 8TB now! 4 on a hard drive for PS4 games and another 4 for PS5 games!

You didn't have to slide it. You can snap it on. Also, make sure when placing the ssd in the case that the cruve is on the botton, not the top.

Did you know that the reason you got two cooling pad is the little chip at the front of the other cips is lower so you put the white one on the little chip cutter to size then put the grey one on over all the cips then put Heatsink on top of them and the other grey one on the other side of your ssd hop this help

Hi when I put mine together later I'll show you a photo of the pads and were they should go on the ssd .ps if you get a ruler you will notice that the 3d nand chip iis not as high as the others OK bud 👍

As I said in the video, it's a Christmas cracker prize. Total crap. You can't grip it to turn the screw. That's why I had to find a real screwdriver 🪛and not a toy one. You might not have understood. Are you locating the metal case into the right slide channel. It's a very narrow slot, and I pressed the heat sink down a bit with my thumb to get it sliding.

Have you looked in ps options, save data. You should see the SSD in the list.

Did you fit it. You then have to go in to ps settings saved data and change from console to SSD

Yes agreed. You did slide it in the right slot, I had two attempts to locate the slot in the video, not sure if there is a slot above the one I slid in. If there is a slot above, maybe you put it in there, might be worth a look. Just A thought 👍🏻

Also I used a thicker and a thin heat sink, thin white one on SSD chip, and grey one in the case, then slid together 👍🏻

If you mean a SSD already preloaded with Windows OS, no it will not run on the PS5. PS5 will not recognize the SSD and will ask you to format it for use on the console.

Windows 7 is ancient now. Don't think it would have the capacity to operate that. Microsoft no longer supports it. Get windows 11 or 12

@@mipad553 the main storage is soldered onto the motherboard, it's not removable unless you melt it off the board. You mean m.2 slot, which was what I meant. So no, it will not run windows.

put the thick heatshrink on the bottom of the case, then put the ssd on top of that, on the top matal part put the thin heatshrink on the bottom part of that. do not slide it, just push it in and it will click into place. you wont break it cos the metal casing will protect the SSD from braking.@@STEVIEDVD
