Yep! This did it! Thank you so much, I looked through so many resources before finding this. Professional articles that basically said if reconnecting the controller doesn’t work then you’re skedoodled. But it makes sense. I hadn’t actually put my ps5 into safe mode, it just booted that way after a power outage, like a glitch. So I needed to actually put it into safe mode for it to work.

Went through the process to then select 6. I still had the Green Screen of Death. I had disabled the Rest Mode already. When the PS5 surprisingly came on after I changed the TV setting to vivid. And reset and updated my TV. Unfortunately, an hour later same Green Screen of Death.

I FIXED IT!! Unplug Ps5 for a couple minutes. Plug it back in. Press and hold the power button until after you hear the second “beep”. You should hear it after holding the power button for a couple seconds. It should boot up into safe mode and all of the options should be available now. I chose Repair console storage option and upon restarting it booted up normally. Hope this helps.
