Finally! A sports card grading video that doesn’t fill the screen with 2022-3-4 modern day cards. Totally sick of that crap. I instantly subbed and liked your video (and channel). Thank you for sharing some older, more vintage graded cards with us folks who actually know the players.

Hey, cool channel and great video! Really enjoyed it and just subscribed. Congrats on the Sandbergs and the Gwynns. I submitted to the same PSA quarterly special and posted that video to our channel about a month ago. Similar cards and grades, but I think overall you did better. Thanks for posting!

Nice sub - great to see these cards 30+ years old slabbed. Been doing the same thing with my collection more for preservation. Slab what you like and what makes you happy no matter the value is - that's why I hate when I hear so many people complain about the backlogs at PSA being caused by junk and ultra modern base subs and not looking at the mess the operations are at PSA. Personally, I moved away from PSA for those reasons but enjoy slabbing the cards I love. Good work - keep slabbing.

The psa 5 of Ripken is deserving. Looks like the bottom of the card is off big time. Look how different the top and bottom are. Great cards tho thanks for sharing.

Nice! Tough to find it in that grade and it will never be at that price in that condition again!

Where do you buy old packs?

From Baseball Card Exchange (BBCE) in Northern Indiana. I’m also on some Vintage Wax Pack groups on Facebook.

Excellent video and very good letters, I particularly think that PSA are a bit strict but I say this because of the shared videos... I have bought PSA but I have never sent any to be graded....I wanted to ask you something, how much does it cost to grade with PSA ? Does it depend on the value of the card or is it just a fee for any card? Thank you

The 83 topps update Strawberry , how’d they hack that cut so bad on a limited update like that blows my mind. You’d think the update sets from factory would be center cut. Bummer

By the way, PSA grading is so inconsistent, that they’ve almost become the joke of the industry. Many are shifting to SGC, and CSG for better grading.

Was it a bulk? How long did it take?
@hall-of-fame-pullers10583 жыл бұрын
It was a Quarterly Special and required at least 25 cards to be submitted. Cost was $8.88 per card. PSA received the cards in early July of 2020 and I just received them back.

some of those were so horrrrrribly disgustingly centered LOL why would u even send those in

When grading cards do you use magnification? I have almost 200 cards at PSA.
@hall-of-fame-pullers10583 жыл бұрын
I didn’t use any magnification on these (or prior submissions). Frankly, I’ve learned a lot since then and did purchase a lighted magnifying glass that I use now.

I have a couple thousand cards from 1981 to 1986 and the surfaces are overall bad and with the lousy borders make good cards hard to come by. I have the stars and rookies in sleeves and top loaders, maybe I will send in my best for grading someday!

That Ripken 5 is way off center, can't expect much better than that with centering that bad
