Scv diversifying into new businesses in the future is a good idea. Meaningful profit opportunities in cards will likely dwindle. Your skills may garner better returns elsewhere

Yeah, the vintage junk wax stuff is tough. I sleeved most and top loaded a lot and those old cards still will crack and chip somehow even being protected. They must dry out over time. There are a lot of people that do not grade their cards and just throw them up on eBay because they don’t want to deal with it. Lots of good answers and some very funny ones. Keep up the good work. Your videos are great!

You are totally right and I fall victim too. For cards I don’t PC, I do the “let me wait until this guy gets even better”. I need to just fire those up on eBay and move on.

The guy whining about not finding PSA 10's on eBay... I picked up a PC card from some seller that looked like they were posting stuff they found in $5 boxes at a show. It's a rare Chrome card from the late 90's, serial numbered /50 - so they likely didn't really know what they had, but knew it was a player from a very popular team. Since it was for my PC and I haven't seen a copy in 2 decades, I picked it up, sent it to PSA after seeing that it was really clean and it got a PSA 10. It's from a set that has an overall Gem rate of about 18% so, yeah... they're out there.

I collect 90's MJ and Kobe stuff mostly. There has been a big decline in raw to grade worthy buy's since the boom. You really have to know the common flaws on these set's, identify centering problem's quickly, and look at thousands of cards a day. I still find raw gem's but it's tough out there.

agreed, the average person is not going to make money going to local shows and trade nights. The only people who can make a profit from that are guys with a big audience who make repacks or run razzes, they post these videos of them buying all this inventory and their viewers think they can do the same thing

This guy knows what’s up made a good profit on my first 2 psa submissions watching his videos you gotta hunt for Cj stroud and AR prizms there out there but I do disagree with shows I’ll never buy at a show but I started dealing I sell the cards I don’t want and I sell $2 and $5 prizm 2023 QBs for $5 and $10 they sell off just a different angle love the show

​@@SCVSportsCardsI primarily do football but with the rookies in 22 Topps Chrome Update Baseball I bought hobby boxes because they were only 60$ on secondary market, doing that I did well getting tons of Julio Rodriguez and Bobby Witt Jrs but that's a RARE situation. Graded about a hundred of each and made bank. The set had some condition issues but PSA was lenient because of it. Baseball is tough but just wanted to share how I did it to circumvent high raw prices in that situation

Nailed it on the AI grading. TAG uses the totally transparent 1000-point grading system with 0-percent emotion. There will never be 1000-perfect card grades with AI grading. Instead, people will be chasing the 995's 996's 997's and 998's and maybe 999's. All the slabbed 10's that currently exist today are not really 10's... they would be 995's 996's 997's and 998's under AI grading. Keep bringing the fire 🔥🔥🔥

Have you had any success sending say a PSA 7 or 8 back in and getting a higher grade? These are on cards that would be worth $400-600 at a 9 so the $20 resubmit fee would justify it.

The AI will be able to detect your bad breath and farts on the card you submitted. Don't Dunk Your Cards In Juice! Use Ozone on your cards before you submit!

It definitely is a different type of grind, and if your specialty is making bank on the more niche cards that also have very high ROIs (Womens basketball, unlicensed rookie QBs, College football) I definitely see it not being a fit

Sent in 75 cards recently to PSA. All I can say is find your own flow, just like a rapper has too. Don’t try to go and copy what everyone is doing cause you will end up probably fucking your self over. Find your own niche with buying cards and stop asking people like SCV to just lead you to water like you are a damn horse. Like these are grown men asking these questions
